Dak checks in at #9.

NFL players, coaches, scouts and execs continue to tell the Anti-Dak Cult Members that they know NOTHING about this sport.

The rest of us have been telling them that for years.

I agree with these rankings of NFL QBs in general, but if it’s for only the previous season, I would put Goff ahead of Dak. Goff has become a steady QB you can win with. However, as a Dak fan, I still say it doesn’t matter where he’s ranked. Unless the Cowboys can figure out how to win in the playoffs with him at QB, we need to move on. It’s not just Dak like the haters believe. If the Cowboys haven’t figured it out in the next 2-3 years, it will be time to move on to another QB.

Is Dak a top QB?

No.

Are QBs 7ish - 18ish all that distinguishable?

Again, no.

Do with that info what you will.

Hilarious how in the pass-happy era in the NFL, you're pretending QB play is "so bad now."

Like it was so much better back when 3,000 yards in a season was considered elite. Or when Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw had more INTs than TDs.:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

Players are more talented, bigger, faster and stronger now than EVER before.

It's a flex on the idiots who pretend Dak sucks and isn't one of the better QBs in football, when he very clearly is.

Nobody says he's elite. Those of us who know football know he's pretty good. The know-nothing Anti-Dakkers just keep getting slapped around by this thing called "reality".
We just exited a golden age of QBs, where a guy like Tony Romo was firmly around the 7th best QB in the league. It kind of skews expectations, mine included.

I frequently find myself saying "No way X player is top 5", but that's because I'm grading player X against my historical perception of the position rather than relative to the current field.

Romo wouldn't be much higher than 7th nowadays.

I kind of think that's the case, too.

The problem is, nowadays the top 10 list just feels more transient.

Mahomes is solidly number 1. Then Burrow and Allen feel like the next two guys that probably will not fall below top 5 any time soon. But if health wasn't a factor, I wouldn't be surprised if Murray and Hurts flipped places next year. That's how up in the air things feel right now for me.

That didn't seem to be the case back in the day, but I might be misremembering.

Like others have said, look at the QB's listed after Dak and then you will realize why the Cowboys aren't moving on from him anytime soon. Is Dak elite? Heck no. But is he good enough? Heck yes he is.

All of the "Dak sucks" crowd think the Burrows and Mahomes of the league grow on trees. If you cut Dak there's a much stronger chance you end up with a Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, or even a Derek Carr instead.

Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it.

So, a ranking of 2022 performance where Dak is ahead of Geno, Kirk C, Goff and Tua?

Yeah, that's realistic.
All I care about is WE went further in the playoffs that The Vikes, Lions, Dolphins or Seahawks.....................

So Dak listed as better than them Probably, Team including Dak better? Definately

None of the "Dak sucks" crowd thinks the Burrows and Mahomes of the league grows on trees. They would just rather roll the dice on finding a QB that can actually win something. And if we end up with a scrub, well, we lose again but at least get a better draft pick. Careful what you wish for? I'll take that risk.

NFL players, coaches, scouts and execs are polled each offseason.

Last year, Dak was top 10 in each poll.

You're wrong. NFL experts collectively agree on that.
:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
There's no right or wrong in an opinion poll. Also, you are appealing to authority which is fallacious thinking. So called experts are wrong far more often than people realize and are biased far more often than people will admit.

That is the problem here with some of you - you are so caught up in being "right" that you start defending guys like Dak whom aren't worth defending just because you perceive it as a chance to be right. At the end of the Dak journey there will be no Super Bowl trophies.

This is the Dak over Dallas fan mentality in full color

"I don't give two craps how poorly Dak plays or whether he leads the league in INT despite missing 33% of the season or whether we lose a very winnable divisional playoff game due to his mistakes. As long as I can shove some obscure and totally subjective QB ranking list up his "haters" backside I'm perfectly content. TAKE THAT, HATERS!"

Genuinely sad. This is what the Dak over Dallas fans live for. Not Cowboys victories. They live for meaningless "I told you so" moments

The only "anti-Dallas" people are the know-nothing clowns like YOU who want to toss aside a top-10 QB without an upgrade available.

NFL players, coaches, scouts and execs agree with me. Keep furrowing your brow in a vain attempt at understanding football.

Thanks, Miss Cleo!

What kind of bozo doesn't know that MUCH worse QBs than Dak have won Super Bowls? But you know for a FACT that he can't? You're a joke.

Future ranking these QBs has absolutely no fact to it. Current rank is the only way you can do it. The problem with ranking these QBs is if we're talking regular season that's a fine ranking, but what about the playoffs?
I would rank Garappolo and Goff over Dak for sure due to playoff performance. Even Geno Smith out performed Dak against the same team they both lost too. Dak is below average when he plays against good teams outside the division. If Dallas had Jimmy G they would of beaten the 49ers with Purdy.

So, he has

9) Dak
10) Geno Smith
11) Kurt Cousins
12) Jarod Goff

I think a lot of people would group them together as well, in various order.
Splitting hairs, at least in some people's minds, at that point

That list is bad, hurts is not 2, nor Jackson 6, Lawrence is way too high, and Herbert at 5 is slightly questionable
He's projecting 2023
Many would say Lawrence should be in that range if you are looking forward
But we won't know until after the 2023 season

He's obviously doing that for Jackson too, because he has had back to back poor seasons

Personally, IF (big if) Stafford is healthy this year and his line is back, he will be much better than this ranking. He was top 5 in 2021 when he had those two things, so maybe top 12 or so at worst.
But maybe that wont happen. He's getting older

This list is a mess... its always a "Chicken/egg" argument for me with past QB's vs Modern, Modern QB's have the stats so its easy to point to thier "Passing" talents. Make them play with the same rules as the past QB's though and things get harder... Would Mahomes have been a great QB in the 70's Probably, would it change the way he plays, i say yes because he would be taking a way worse pounding every Sunday.
