This list is a mess... its always a "Chicken/egg" argument for me with past QB's vs Modern, Modern QB's have the stats so its easy to point to thier "Passing" talents. Make them play with the same rules as the past QB's though and things get harder... Would Mahomes have been a great QB in the 70's Probably, would it change the way he plays, i say yes because he would be taking a way worse pounding every Sunday.
The way Dak holds the ball he would be getting hammered. Plus he wouldn't be throwing the ball because the CBs and WRs were grabbing and pushing a lot more.

It would make any current QB's time to throw longer i would imagine, your "Hot Routes" were getting decked back in the day, the quick slant started when the WR got off the ground from getting knocked down lol

Look at those names on Numbers 9-20.

It tells you all you need to know about the gap between about Numbers 1-4, and maybe even 5-8, and everyone else.
Purdy is 17.

Maybe you don't need to spend a gazillion dollars on a QB.

Don't forget the line of Rowdy-level cringe emojis that they think really drives their point home.
They were visibly agitated by the 4-1 record with Rush. Cowboy success literally upset them because Dak wasn't under center for it

Yet they question the fanhood of anyone that doesn't worship at daks altar

That tells us all we need to know

Dak Davidians. Dak over Dallas. Dak stans.

Call em what you want. Whatever term you use, they're basically a punchline to a joke at this point. Everybody knows their schtick ;)

There's no amount of QB rankings that's going to validate Prescott. The two 49er games and inconsistent play on tape trumps opinion. Also, this ranking just shows if your QB isn't Top 5 don't hype him up imho.
What it consistently does is validate how absolutely wrong you have been on Dak and your low football IQ rankings. While the rest of the world acknowledges Dak is a top 10 qb you’re still blabbering about him being average.

Face the facts, you hit it all wrong.

CowboysZone LOYAL Fan
32 starting QBs

Being in the top 30-50% (so 10-16 of 32) range of anything is nothing really to brag about

Dak checks in at #9.

NFL players, coaches, scouts and execs continue to tell the Anti-Dak Cult Members that they know NOTHING about this sport.

The rest of us have been telling them that for years.

No way Dak is better than Goff.

Not based off last year for sure. Goff had a good year and if he continues it Big Dan may have something in Detroit. Over all you could make the case for Dak over Goff.
This is heavily based on last year. If not, Hurts would be 15th and Russell Wilson would be 5th

Carr way way too high. Did you know he couldn’t even complete 61% of his passes this year? For a guy on a top tier contract, that’s not just bad… it’s terrible. Dude somehow got worse after they traded for Adams, and he wasn’t even particularly great before it.

Would people really not choose Garoppolo over him? Stafford? Heck even Murray can at least be prolific now and then. How many QBs in the top 20 would be outright cut on their team because starting over is a better choice than having to watch them struggle? Yet Carr is 15. Last 30 total TDs season 8 years ago. Only player in the nfl with at least 14 picks and less than 25 TDs each of the last 2 years. That’s a crazy take
The issue with him is he's on a bad team. He'd be better if he was on a better team.

None of the "Dak sucks" crowd thinks the Burrows and Mahomes of the league grows on trees. They would just rather roll the dice on finding a QB that can actually win something. And if we end up with a scrub, well, we lose again but at least get a better draft pick. Careful what you wish for? I'll take that risk.

I see where you are coming from but I would rather have Dak then be where the Browns, Jets, Texans, Falcons, Panthers, etc. seem to find themselves year after year in the draft. Dak is not in the elite category but he's not a scrub either. You can win a Super Bowl with Dak if he's given enough support. You can't win a Super Bowl with a Sam Darnold or Marcus Mariota.

That's a fair point, but knowing our owner will never give Dak what he needs to win a Super Bowl (which is the ultimate defense) it's a higher draft pick and lower sales for me. Jerry is cheap, but he's not stupid; he's just okay with losing as long as he can stay friends with everyone he overpays, and the ratings and cash keep coming in. I think, with the current unrest of Cowboys Nation, we would only have to endure one, maybe two REALLY bad seasons before we see real change. I don't have years to waste at 47, but I might be willing to sacrifice a couple years of utter failure to get to glory. I mean, that versus mediocrity forever?

Problem is even if JJ blew it up (which he will not) will he then turn it over to McClay or another real GM to rebuild, if JJ is rebuilding what changes?

I don't have the audacity to hope THAT much. Jerry won't sell, and I seriously fear what will happen when Stephen is in charge, because that dude doesn't even pretend to want to win. But I think with a great head coach, we go further last season, even considering what I think about Dak. I mean, it's not entirely fair to criticize most of our players when we've had a walkabout HC and loser coordinators in place for over a decade, sans Quinn. I mean, for over a decade we've basically just been telling players to just go be better from the guys across from you. When you think about the quality of coaching, and inept ownership for much much longer, it's really amazing that we have done as well as we have for this long.
