To use a poker term, i guess i'd have to "see the flop". Haha. See how the draft fell.

As of right now, assuming most of the crazy blue chip talent was gone, yeah. Our 3rd round pick would basically be 40 slots higher to move down 5 picks.

I'd try to get away with giving a 1 + 4 at worst. But giving a 1 + 3 is better than not doing it at all.

The value just depending on who's available at 28.
Yeah I feel like lots of teams are going to want to do the same thing so I wonder what that does to the value. QB can change that as well.

Yup. It's completely dependent on that QB. I could see Webb/Mahomes being there though and Cleveland wanting to get their guy with the 5th year. I'm just speculating. I could see that happening.

I think 28 is a pretty good spot in this draft for these purposes anyway. The blue chip talent kinda drops off a little before us. There's a couple teams ahead of us that I could see trading down, but some of them have pretty glaring needs and the way the draft is lining up may want to stay put because they're going to get really good value at a position of need.

I could see Seattle trading down, but they really need an OL. That's been killing them for years, and there's not many good 1st round lineman in this draft. If there's some weird run on OL i'm not seeing, then it's pretty much going to match up perfectly for them.

I could see KC trading down too, but they might stay put and take a WR/RB or even QB they want. They'll have good value on a back or QB in their spot, and they'll have their pick of the litter at WR or Davis/Williams if either is there.

Teams below us don't matter because we have a better pick.

Just something to think about.

Mahomes is the key guy but I am beginning to think he goes before 28. Keep reading teams are falling in love. Happens with QBs ever year.
