Height: 6-2. Weight: 220.
Projected 40 Time: 4.78.
Combine 40 Time: .
Hand: .
Projected Round (2010): FA.
7/24/08: Matt Nichols put up prolific numbers at Division 1-AA Eastern Washington as a sophomore (3,744 yards, 34 TDs, 9 INTs), but he didn't play any BCS competition, so we don't really know what he's made of just yet.

Sound familiar? Sure does to me, I sign him and have Romo train his successor. I don't believe in McGee. In 4-5 years I would trust Nichols as our QB with Romo training him for that period. Lets keep the UDFA hits coming, Nichols is the next one on that list.

Don't you think it's a little early to give up on McGee, considering we've only seen him throw 15 passes? I mean, I'd be fine bringing a guy in for the practice squad, but there's no reason to just kick McGee to the curb.

If they see someone else with a lot more upside than why not?

Now is the time to experiment with QB's and 5 years from now we may have one ready to play.

Agreed put one on the ps one on roster when kitna retired romo/mcgee/Nichols as qbs and in 4-7 years when romo hangs em up we will has 2 sucessors to choose from already here.

Whoa. R2A doesn't like a Cowboy?

McGee will be a good one. Just give him some time.

Its not that I dont like McGee, infact I really like him (as I do with all Dallas Cowboys players excluding Roy Williams, although RW even got his perks considering he is fantastic in the redzone), I believe he will be a career backup/Travaris Jackson sort of players, I don't believe he will ever be able to carry the Dallas Cowboys as a starting QB, but I doubt anyone believed that Romo would be able to so I may be wrong.

Nichols reminds me of Romo, and anyone who reminds you of Romo is a fantastic thing.
