In today's game against the Cards, Matt Ryan at times looked pretty good. Then the O-line began to break down and Matt Ryan went from "Ice" to slushi real quick. Its amazing how many people would have said..."Romo's fault." "Romo choked." had this type of play been done from our QB. Ryan was misfiring, getting sacked (a safety too!) and generally not moving the offense down field after the half.
Lets compare this to Tony's loss in Seattle his first playoff appearance...
Romo may have fumbled the snap to lose that game, but atleast he had the team in position to win it with time running out. Call it a choke all you want, America. But in tomorrow's papers, will you see them bashing the kid in ATL? Nope. Valiant effort! Or some other way to make the kid feel better about his tough loss.
I, by no means, think Matt Ryan is a bad player. I'm simply using him as an example to show the unfair bias placed against the Dallas QB position. It also doesn't hurt to point out that almost all QBs perform bad when the O-Line breaks down.
On the flip side, Warner looked good, but he had a lot of time to find the open guy. Warner under pressure is ugly as a bowling shoe.
I'm sticking with Tony! Poor kid needs somebody to back him!
