That's a really good post.

Nice job and thanks for pointing out how the O-line really matters to the overall success of the Offense. All the weapons in the world don't mean squat if we don't have time to get the ball there.

Great. So Romo has been playing like a rookie? That's what you're saying?

And my only complaint with Romo is he doesn't protect the ball. How much time he has to throw has no bearing on that. He needs to throw the ball away more and take better care of the ball when in the pocket and scrambling.

Way too many fumbles and ints. The big plays are nice (when they actually occur) but they aren't worth much if they're continually offset by turnovers.

Bring on the excuses for the choker.

Matt Ryan is a rookie QB. Romo just finished his 6th year.

Tony Romo throws up 4-5 balls that are up for grabs every game. And he usually puts 1 or 2 on the ground from holding the ball like a loaf of bread.

Matt Ryan doesn't make those mistakes.

So as of right now, Matt Ryan is a much better QB than Tony Romo.

He made Roddy White go from goat to great receiver.

The next step is crediting Michael Turner for everything. Bottom line Matt Ryan is going to succeed in this league because he makes good decisions and doesn't have 8 'dangerous' plays a game where he tries to make something out of nothing.

I wish we had Matt Ryan. :)

Me too - he's gonna be outstanding and Atlanta is a team on the rise - big time. Roddy White getting better and better, they have one of the best RB's in the league. If they shore up that defense, they are going to be tough to beat in years to come.

Matty Ice:laugh2: and then they played the Vanilla Ice song...Ice Ice baby, OMG I couldnt stop cracking up.

But Matty is just a rookie. So he will get a pass. Tony has 3 nasty Decembers under his belt and is going to be 29 in April.

Why do you say how old someone will be on their next birthday?
Why not just say how old they are currently?
Dont you think we have all figured out if someone is say 28 right now they will be 29 on their next birthday? Bring a stronger point to the argument and you wouldnt have to resort to weak tactics to make your weak point.

My guess would be because the next time he plays, he will be 29, not 28.

I'll admit that Romo makes to many Turnovers but look how good he was early in the Season when the Offensive line was playing well compared to the End when Kosier and Adams were hurting.

No one bashed him after the first playoff loss, he got alittle heat after the second playoff loss last year, but dam man give me a break. Take the titty out of his mouth and let him grow up. I love him just as much as the rest of us, but its time for him to stand up and take some accountabilty for his play/lack of play.

Yep ... looks like a homosexual adult film star.

Are you saying you know what homosexual adult film stars look like?

But in all seriousness, Tony Romo is in his 6th year. He's "Supposed" to be a franchise QB. We all know QBs need time to throw the ball, but a franchise QB should be able to make the play when protection is breaking down from time to time. Romo just rolls over and either drops the ball or tosses it up for grabs.

I'd trade you 5 Tony Romos for ONE Matt Ryan.

It's tempting to make it all on Romo, or to blame Romo's bad play all on the OL, or the receivers, etc. This denotes much of the problem - seeing the offense as tiny parts, rather than a systemic whole. The team has to play with cohesion, like an army, or face defeat. If Romo is not reading pressure, if the OL is not blocking the scheme, if the receivers aren't taking their hot routes or missing the blitz read, etc. etc. etc. The whole offense has to be on the same page. Yes, when blocking breaks down, it impacts the QB. But that will happen at times, the QB has to recognize, sense and avoid pressure, and hit the hot receiver. And the receivers have to recognize the blitz and be aware, break off to the hot route, or break off and come back to the QB, and be sure their route is the route, not just a guess. It means the RB or TE has to chip the DE on their way into the dumpoff pattern. The OC has to recognize what the defense is doing and take advantage of it and make preparations for it. If this system breaks down, anywhere, you are screwed. And this offense looked discombobulated for most of the year. The QB or OL or WR looking bad may have it's genesis in a breakdown elsewhere.

P.S. I turned off signatures, so cannot give my opinion as to the reading on the gaymeter.

The fact that some on this board or comparing our 6th year "franchise" quarterback to a rookie in order to somehow validate his piss poor decision making and leadership skills really demonstrates how desperate this fanbase has become.

Face facts people. The Romo we have now will never win a championship. I don't know if it is coaching or just something in Romo that can't be fixed, but sometimes it seems the game is just to fast for him.

What I do know is that when you know your quarterback is going to turn the ball over every game something is wrong.

Agree completely, I'm not saying Romo shouldn't take some of the blame because he's the one pulling the trigger, but I believe the down fall of this team this season was horrific play by the o-line. Romo was seemingly on the run on every passing play at the end of the season. This o-line needs to step it up or find people that will.
