It's a money line bet, meaning he is getting no points. Cowboys have to win win out right.

I’ve met Mac numerous times, dating all the way back to the 90’s when he started. Every public bet is a marketing ploy to get people to buy “now”, so I don’t think he has a gambling problem.

He won money on Monday night's game too. He also promoted that if the Cowboys beat the Bucs, anyone who bought the Yellowstone bedroom furniture, would get it for free!!! Guess there were some happy folks on Tuesday!!

Blow 2 million dollars and look like a moron doing it? Not sure about that one.

He's smarter than you think. He often uses these bets to cover his free promotions at his furniture stores. So here, he says some furniture you bought will be free if Dallas wins. If Dallas wins, his winnings cover the cost of all the free furniture he had to give away. If he loses the bet, he's basically nets zero. He loses the bet money but it's offset by the revenue he earned on that particular line of furniture that was free.

I am NOT a bettor but it does seem to me that if he took the Cowboys to cover, it would be a smarter bet or am I wrong?

Outside of being an Astros fan or living in Houston, many people had no idea who the hell Matress Mack even was. The fact that this thread even exists and Cowboys fans are now talking about him makes it a smart investment.

I would have preferred to get 4 points and a 1.3 return. He apparently chose no points and a 1.65 return. No guts no glory I suppose.

I think on one bet, he said if he won his bet, anyone that bought a mattress from him in that previous year, he would refund them their money. So the mattress was free.
Not sure if it meant new customers at point up until the game was played, or limited just prior sales when he placed the bet.

Not sure if he still does that.
I can't remember what game he betted on, but it has been quite a while ago, and can't remember if he won or lost the bet.

Yea, he give a promotional for each time he make bet. Like week or 2 before the game, for customers spend 3000 on furniture or mattress, get money back and double....only if those team win
