From a purely business perspective, meaning financially for the Lakers and the NBA in general, he's among the elite, especially considering his global pull. Remember, the league does revenue sharing and the Lakers are on a different level, when it comes to generating money. Small market teams can cover their losses based on what the Lakers earn.

I kind of agree with you as far as the player is concerned, as his pace is not that conducive to building a team that I think can win.

What is really strange about this whole thing is the Mavericks last year, signed a deal to do games, not exclusively televised, for free on local channels. I just think there are things behind the scenes, especially with the owners that want a casino, we aren't privy too.

It for sure is. Especially if Nico doesn’t get fired and even if he did I still would question some things. What they are saying just doesn’t make sense and it’s easy to assume people are just dumb….some people especially when you have millions and billions on the line are thinking far different then the average person..

Lot's of fancy shooting mixed in with a few nice passes and the world thinks he's great.

It’s pretty much a league-wide consensus that Luka is top 4-5 without argument (arguably top 3), and he’s also very young.

The trade should have been Luka for AD and 5+ first round draft picks.

There wouldn’t have been as much consternation if the level of compensation was at least close to adequate.

There wasn’t a point I was saying I don’t have him in my top 3 right now. You’re arguing about what the trade “should’ve been” and we are long passed that. We know the Mavs got robbed. We knew back in February. It’s almost May now…..and fyi Lakers didn’t have 5 first rounders even trade for Luka. Nico had the idea he couldn’t win with Luka but he could with Wemby, Ant and AD. Spurs and Wolves said no so he settled for AD. And got robbed.

Very lucky to be up 3-2…..Pistons outplayed them last game and the missed foul on Hardaway could’ve very well had Knicks losing. Hope it goes 7.
