If they take him late in the draft I don't think it's a bad idea
They probably deserve some praise for that....they got a lot of heat behind the Tyler Smith pick. Wrongfully IMO. They killed that kid before he even suited up.He'll do it 20 times before the draft just to mix it up.
Nobody rely knew our pick was Tyler Smith ladt year, but it was a damn good pick.
Everyone, even Jerry, has a bad quarter century... Ha, Ha, HaOne of the best evaluators of QB in the league. Wanted Johnny Manziel, Connor Cook and Paxton Lynch.....said Brandon Weeden threw a hell of a ball. Lucked into Romo and Dak. Yeah, I trust this guy lol.
Except that Josh Allen wasn't considered accurate either coming out of school, but he's done pretty well in the NFL.Do we have a problem with accurate quarterbacks? Duggan wasn’t even a pro prospect until this season.
Why do we treat the QB position the way we treat kicker when it relates to high draft picks? Take a QB somewhere in the first three rounds. Duggan is a day 3 pick.
He was the 7th pick in the draft. Concerns weren’t that high.Except that Josh Allen wasn't considered accurate either coming out of school, but he's done pretty well in the NFL.
Don't forget this is the same genius GM that did a draft day interview with his draft board in plain view. Nothing surprises me after that bold strategy of displaying the draft board after the first round.Have we sent personalized letters to each team and GM announcing this? Perhaps a commercial announcement would help.
But he fell behind Mayfield and Darnold, would that have happened if there weren't concerns? He was the 7th pick in the draft. Concerns weren’t that high.
Yes he played at Wyoming. The other two played at OU and USC.But he fell behind Mayfield and Darnold, would that have happened if there weren't concerns?
They got smashed by the media on every pick through the 5th except for the Tolbert pick and that was just one analyst because he had Tolbert ranked 88th best player... he was 88th pick. I still remember reading one guy screaming we should have taken the A%M TE that ran a 5.1 40 (combine) and spent the season on the Patriots practice squad over Ferguson!!!!They probably deserve some praise for that....they got a lot of heat behind the Tyler Smith pick. Wrongfully IMO. They killed that kid before he even suited up.
