Trade Candidates:

-Jalen Tolbert-he is not expected to be resigned in the offseason. Could lose the competition for the #3 WR.
-Bass/Robert Jones/Charles/Hoffman-they aren't going to keep 4 backup Guards. Hoffman can play G/C.
-Sam Williams-it is very possible he is buried down in the depth chart will all the numbers at the position
-Damone Clark-he is buried in the depth chart, where the new staff brought in 3 new linebackers
-Donovan Wilson-he might be a poor fit in this new cover 2 scheme.

What positions could the Cowboys still be hunting?

Really???

so I see all the negativity for some of those players and you expect them to have any trade value at all?? hmmm???

I mean especially Damone Clark are you serious? no teams trading for that dude and some of these other guys we just got for basically nothing off the street like Robert Jones and Charles, you expect somebody to give us anything for them??​

I mean come on where do our expectations around here I know we overvalue our players but some of those players haven't even played a snap for us yet...​

So, I doubt anybody would give anything from many of them I mean I'd be surprised if you can get a 6th rounder maybe a 5th for Donovan Wilson maybe Tolbert.

Off that list I'd say Hoffman has the mosrt value,

but you'd be crazy to give up a guy that could play both guard positions and the center position that is what you call your best swing guy on the team you keep him you find a way to sign him that's the kind of depth you can't find in many places..

So yeah , you want to move bass , I don't know if anybody would give anything for him he hadn't played enough too small a sample size...

looking at all that list, some of you make me laugh and not in a good way I'm just snickering, this really overvaluing some of these guys most of these are street free agents, and maybe you get lucky to find somebody to give you something low round pick for one, but I doubt it.​

it depends on what he does this year, he's another one of those guys why would you keep a guy like Kneeland over him. If he has a good enough year like I said it depends on what he does this year, if there's value there ,you don't get rid of him, you get rid of the guy who's not very valuable, I don't care if he's a higher round draft pick..

What exactly did Kneeland do? what do you think Turner is going to do, wheat?? I mean there's guys on this team that is not going to be better options than Sam Williams if he has a Good year, you try everything you can do to keep him..

Remember when we had Parsons, tank, Armstrong, Fowler, and Golston? That was a pretty damn nice group we had leading the league in sacks two years in a row I believe laid led the league in turnovers because of the pressure two years in a row you're trying to rebuild that now..

Well Sam Williams would be part of that new group, now that's a kind of depth you want there, I mean that's all I'm saying these other guys are on the bubble why would he be on the bubble if he shows anything this year you try to retain him imho

I think Tolbert is locked in as our #3. Our WR's behind him are awful. I dont see him being a trade candidate

Williams, Bass and Hoffman we could possibly get 5th's for. Id do two of those and keep one OG for depth. Maybe TB would do Williams for Rachaad White. They are pretty weak in the edge

I'm guessing 1 (Wilson/Hooker) won't make the final cut. They gave Bell new money this offseason.

It's about this time that we get trade suggestions that seem to imply the Cowboys are totally exempt from injuries this season.

What if they trade Tolbert in August and both Lamb and Pickens go down with injuries?

Then they have no depth.
Hooker and Wilson in the last year of their contracts. Count around $16 million, save $8 million if released. Wilson has a void year in 2026, counts as $1.6 million.

Who is out there that can replace them. Keep them at this point. They have 4 solid, not great, but not horrible S's.

Tolbert can bring a comp pick in 2026, and until another WR steps up, he is #3 for now. Not a trade candidate at this time.

Possibly a few OL, DL, if a few step up and if any offers are made. Dallas will not be the ones offering.
If they do, they will do the usual stupid thing. "if we can't trade him we will release him" So some teams would need to think highly of a player to trade at that point, or lose him to waivers. I don't think we have any players, or very few that fit into that category.

Don't see any DB's either, since they have a lack of CB's, because of injuries and recovery schedules.

A few outside possibilities. And a few of these are stretches, but will list them.
Brooks, Hoffman, Richards, Bass, Thomas, Waletzko, Stephens, Spann-Ford, Clark, Williams, Mukaumu, Butler.

Maybe a surprise of another player. But I doubt any trades. We as fans tend to over rate the players. Especially during TC and PS games.

Why would they trade him now? This is the lowest value he has ever had. He is worth far more to the Cowboys then they could get in return.

agreed.. He's so undervalued and underrated I mean I'm not trying to prop this guy up but he's been getting better it may be slow development but when you can get six to 800 yards out of the guy that's basically not counted on much at all that's a win I mean seven touchdowns go look at that again some of these other guys people wanted here..

I'm just not sure why everyone thinks he's off the team just because Pickens is here no it makes him a more valuable piece at number three sharing a little bit of that load with Turpin....

We need to give up one of these wide receiver projects or a pass rusher and get DJ reader from the Lions .
if we want to think about stopping the run.

Otherwise we are going to play the game of get a lead on bad teams make them throw the ball rush the passer and make them turn the ball over.

Good teams will run the ball on us and give us a hard way to go if we don't address this issue.

Bass and Hoffman looked like they could plsy in nfl last year to Mr. But as depth you can’t keep both on second contracts. Haven’t looked but about time for them a deal. Hoffman has more position flexibility

Sam Williams may be a trade candidate. He is in the last year of his deal. But he is coming off a knee injury which lowers his value a bit and honestly, I would dispute he is buried down teh depth chart.

on the roster at DE/Edge

Out of this group Fowler, Kneeland, Turner, and Williams are quality DE. Parsons is DE/LB and Ezeiruaku is yet to play a down in the NFL. I think Sam Williams has a shot to be in the top 4 of this group. I would not count him out just yet.

I agree as of right now, but if he lost out in camp, could see a trade take place.
