This was an impressive college game and the potential if used correctly. Maybe the cowboys can look at some of his college film and cook up some idea.

The guy will be a bigger weapon than most think! Nearly 600 total yards

Soupcan, I'm getting kind of excited slobering over what Austin could mean as to production. Both from the line of scrimmage and in the return game.

I don't think our staff is as creative but I do believe they will look at a lot of his old tape WV and rams to get an idea on things they can do. Him, Zeke and dak in the read-op behind that oline would be deadly.

His initial burst, cutting and speed is ridiculous. I really hope that chip that the Scams but on his shoulder is HUGE!
Yeah, people keep forgetting that he was overdrafted and expected to be a #1 WR when his size and skillset pretty much take that out of the equation.

I think system is important to every player. Fisher hurt players like Austin and Gurley because as Gurley put it they were running a Middle School Offense. IMO it's on the coaching staff to get the most out of the kid. But I agree with your point that he was drafted to high. A slot receiver should never go top 10.

At present, I'm feeling pretty good about the Coordinators. Both have had previous NFL success and came to Dallas respected. That says a lot as to base level.

Marrinelli had to walk four to five years without top notch talent in his positional rosters. That is pretty solid now. I'm even excited about all three positional groups: defensive line, linebackers, and secondary. There is talent there, and some solid depth as well. Add a Pro Bowl quality player or two, and this defense will be hard to manage.

On the offense, Scott Linehan is credible. He was chained to a system over the past three seasons, that had chunks of armor missing. The offensive line has reached sustainment levels for a dynasty. That is huge. As to quarterbacks, the bottom dropped out of the basket when Tony Romo was injured beyond reasonable expectations. That's a tough pill to swallow. Dez Bryant hit the player's wall and hasn't upgraded execution...but Linehan had to stick to what was in place, that limited a whole venue of play calling. That weight on his back, is gone now...let's just see where having Zeke Elliott in the backfield and well executed routes does for his ability to call players.

Slobbering is against CZ rules.
Drool, salivate, froth, dribble, etc. are OK.

It's going to come down to yards before contact and this is going to benefit the entire stable of running backs/ receivers coming out of the backfield. Getting Elliott, Austin, Smith & Bo in space will be both electric and punishing. I'm hoping the O-line comes together quickly and stays healthy.

I feel a little more comfy with the depth on oline now. Last year was a disaster.

Bo is not going to make the final 53. Unless there is an injury. With that said Austin's ability to make something out of nothing could potentially be big for us. Zeke will eat hardy this year. Smith will lose some of his snaps to Austin. The change of pace from Zeke to Austin will benefit us a lot.

Don’t doubt me when I say there’s a VERY good chance he’s league MVP in 2018.

:D

I think 600-700 total yards from scrimmage is a reasonable estimate for the 2018 season.

I know he's fast, but is he just a gadget player?

Nothing against him, but I haven't seen a lot of Rams games & don't know what to expect from him.
