Maybe Skins defense is that good!

Well, they held the Bears to 6 points, and yesterday that same Bears team put up 38 points against the Lions. Granted Detroit's defense is not great, but still, 38 points is significant. Let's not put this game in our pocket yet.

Maybe all the prognostication about a Skins' defense shutting down JJ isn't homerism!

Most everyone here has been acknowledging that the Skins have a good defense. There are only a few insisting that they don't. It would be nice to see them get burned early and often tonight though.

Anyone who says the Skins defense is not good...simply does not watch football, have clue to what they are watching, or simply a huge Homer (which is fine)...this will be a battle.

If not for their defense they would not stand a chance in any week. Their offense is horrible, which seems crazy because they have talent on their oline and Portis, but they just don't seem to get it done.

I expect them to put 8 in the box early to stop JJ...hard night for JJ, but in the end he will be successful!

We will need to pass to open up the run...

We may have a tough time running the ball early, but we'll keep pounding it. This isn't Campo and Reilly running the show anymore. Parcells won't give up on the run if the game is close.

Look for a healthy dose of JJ and A-train early and often.

And it's a division Rivalry game so you can pretty much bank on the fact that they were more in tune for the Lions than the Commanders.

The Skins defense is good, no doubt. I don't take them lightly at all. Their offense on the other hand is what I think gives us the edge. Portis is the threat, stop him and they will have a very long night.

I am definately not convinced that Patten and Moss are an upgrade over Coles/Gardner. They will have to prove that one to me.

I am not overly confident by any means of a win, not in todays NFL. You better come to play every week or you will get beat. Yesterday was a good example of how you cannot predict a season by the first game.

I think we should win, but when you play rivals, anything can happen.

The Skins Offense is NOT terrible. The Bears D has been excellent. The Skins couldn't get into the endzone, not because of Offensive inability, but because the Bears D is just THAT good.

The Skins still rolled up 320+ yards total Offense. That's nothing to laugh at. Portis ran for 120 yards against a Bears D which bottled up Kevin Jones.

and dont forget Harington's 5 interceptions must have given the bears a short field at times. 5 interceptions with the wr's drafted by Detroit over the past 3 years ???? and they have K Jones who SHOULD be taking the pressure off Harington.

just gotta stop portis and their offense is worthless. the Commanders defense on the other hand has a qb, te, 4 wr and 2-3 rb they need to stop. our DL and OL is better than theirs also.

No kidding, it was like they were picking on a college team or something. I really dont think anyone knows how good philly is, because they got beat by the falcons, then they killed a 49er team that would give up everything to be mediocre!!! It'll be interesting to see how they fare next week against a very upset oakland team.
