Maybe the Cowboys media should take more blame for interviewing Jerry so much?

When all you hear is Jerry and Stephen telling us stuff about the team instead of the guy they hired to do so the COACH! The media should skip going to Jerry and go to Mike just to see how Jerry takes it. We know Jerry has to have his news time, but why? What's the fascination in being in the front seat, instead of the back seat? Please give your thoughts

Those people aren’t fans like us. They don’t care. It’s a career and very different. Picture yourself covering a team in a sport you care nothing about.

The problem would lie in missing one of Jerry’s absurd quotes and not reporting on it. That’s why they flock to him.

I hate it beyond belief. Jerry eats it up.

Me me me me me me me me me me me

I’m a football guy!!!!

Jerry wants all the attention. It has to be all about him.

He doesn't like to share the spotlight (right Jimmy?) and never will.

He feels that he is responsible for building the Cowboys brand to what it is today.
People keep asking to share your thoughts and then complain when others share their thoughts....

Why is he even available. Not many if any other professional sports owners are out there putting themselves constantly in the spotlight. Or in pizza commercials dancing to songs. It’s ridiculous.

Do You think the media exists to make the team better? Do You think the media doesn’t like money? Do You think the media determines if they want to interview Jerry? All these exists because of Jerry. The media makes millions off Jerry, and he makes millions off playing the media.

Exactly…..media needs to sto- asking that clown questions….take the attention away from a narcissist and see him rage.

It's a mutualistic relationship; Jerry likes talking and the media likes writing it down. So, of course the media should take more blame for being Jerry's enabler.

What a money making pit that doesn't care about winning the big one?

Agree but the local media those guys are fans of the team, maybe it would take the or as you said the ones who don't care to ask him about it

Then they say get rid of him lol uhhh ok if they get rid of him who will they have to talk to

It is so easy to get a story by interviewing Jerry and Stephen Jones. "Reporters" do not have to work and dig. Just ask one of the Jones boys a question and they have their story for the next news cycle.

Admittedly the Cowboys and Jones have been successful in many areas. Great stadium and training facility, huge fan base, and financial success. And many fans and posters here are impressed by all that. But truth is the team is a totally failure at what REALLY MATTERS which is championship level football!!!

If you're going to blame the media for the noise then shouldn't you also be pointing the finger back at fans who invariably consume this nonsense? The ones who post links to every Jerry interview and every tweet about Jerry and the Cowboys? If the carp wasn't so popular with the fan base it would not continue to exist in the sheer volume it does. Most of these mediots who do it would be unemployed. But you guys keep bringing it here every single day all damn day then complain about the fact that you had to read or hear it. What sense does that make? I don't listen to Jerry's interviews nor do I scour twitter for mentions of the Cowboys. So the only time I even hear about most of this crap is on this site. And no, I don't click on it when it's posted. Well maybe once or twice a year if I'm curious.. but 99% of the time I ignore it. I come to this site to talk football not to analyze Jerry-speak. Or Stephen-speak. Though I do listen to about one McCarthy presser a week and the DallasCowboys.com content as time permits. But they do like 7 hours of shows a day.. Aint enough hours in the day to listen to them all AND do my job AND keep the wife happy. Well TRY to keep the wife happy. Most married men know we never truly accomplish that one!

It's not the air time that's the problem. If they would start challenging him by conducting actual interviews instead of throwing him softball questions and not challenging his answers, he'd go into hiding.
