Maybe The Defense Is Better Without Law and Parsons?

Such a small sample size folks. It’s one game.

It’s literally one game. A game in which the defense could sell out against the run because they had zero fear of Fields passing ability.

Let’s see how they do against the Lions. A much more balanced offense before we make proclamations about the defense being better without parsons or Lawrence.

Sure it is only one game of evidence without them but what about all the games with them. For D Flaw literally a decade of games with him. Worst decade of defense in team history.

It might be but Jerry will still overpay for Parsons.

Jerry is attracted to bright shinny objects.

I know it's a tiny sample size, but maybe the defense is better, or at least not worse, without the star book-ends.

Maybe they play with more discipline.

Maybe these other guys playing for their NFL lives have more hunger and fight in them.

And just maybe this defense is more coachable without the stars taking up too much mental space.

I know it's a crazy thought, and I know Fields left some "meat on the bone" yesterday (he missed a few throws to open receivers)...but the defense just looked more solid yesterday, with Overshown flying around and being more of the leader with Micah and D Law out. I like it. Let's see if they can play well next week too.
I think everybody else steps up and they just don’t let two players make all the plays. I think that’s the difference complementary football.

There is certainly a motivation factor from the ranks taking place.
Getting a healthy Bland back is a positive, and JLew has some good stew waiting to be served.
While everyone is crying over injuries to this defense, I see some young guns stepping up to the plate.
That is a sign of good coaching, I want to see motivation and we are seeing it.

Without Lawrence for sure. But we gonna need Parsons. I feel Lawrence should've been gone with Garrett, I don't care what nobody says. He does way too much talking without backing it up.

exactly, I was going to say dont tell jerry, as he wants to pay parsons 40-45 mil
Micah is a one trick pony, so without him it could be better overall defense.
We need players that are ready, willing and able to stop the run and the passing game.

Specialists should not be paid top $.

Golston, Lawson, and Wheat give Zimmer disciplined run stoppers on the Edge. I think watching these guys play properly highlights what's happening with Parsons n Tank. The Lions will be a good test to truly see what's happening with the run game for the defense.

Lawrence is old and becoming a FA. I believe Kneeland was picked because they liked him and saw a replacement for D law long term.

We also played an offense that is terrible and a qb who is terrible
Wow you must have hated Romo too since they share the same post season records and Dak has already broken many of Romo’s records. I cant imagine the hate you have for Romo if you hate Dak this much.

My take was that DC could keep 2 out of 3 between Dak, CD and MP to be able to at least be competitive. I just don't see the clampets paying 60-75% of the salary cap for 3 players. So we got the answer when Dak and CD got paid. Yes MP is a special player but not a game changer against opponents with a good defensive coaching staff that eliminates him as a factor. Let some other team pay him 40 mil a year and we will see how that works out. Circle back in a few years.....

Huh? Can you read? This was in response to the Steelers and their terrible offense. Do you know what thread you are in?

Post of your life!!!!!!!!! It would be funny if it were better, but YES, fields challenged our defense in NO way, some of his passes weren't considered NFL passes. I dont' see Goff making a lot of those miserable passes.
