Maybe the right move is to trade Micah

I’ve never been a fan of this idea and not even sure that I am right now but the Cowboys are in big big trouble with Dak and some of the other veterans they paid.

We have so many holes and a front office that does nothing to improve in free agency.

I think anyone that can be traded for valuable picks has to be considered.

We have no RB’s, WR’s are mediocre, holes on the OL coming up, front 7 on defense is atrocious, and Diggs is only good against the pass.

Also, this offense goes through Dak’s arm and that’s just not a winning recipe.

The Cowboys need to dump as many contracts as they can, get picks, and get younger and faster.

If Parsons gets you multiple firsts then you have to really consider it.

The Lions are where they are now because they made bold moves that got them a ton of draft picks.

I'm trading Micah for just a first if that's all that's out there. I might even trade him for a second if I have to. There's a reason he slid in the draft but of course that's never stopped us from using a premium pick.

Im not completely against the idea, the struggle I have with the rebuild model at this point is that even once they build the roster back up you now have a QB in his mid 30s, and I really dont see Dak having that Brady/Rodgers type of lifespan in this league. The opportunity to really do the rebuild right was to get started 7 months ago.

That was a weird draft. C19 had some guys sit out the season. I think he fell more to not playing than his antics at PSU.
The dude is clearly talented, but going here with an enabler in Jerry was never going to let him reach his true football potential.

100%

Letting Dak walk or play under his d contract and starting Lance was the move.

Im very confident Dak has made us maybe 1 game better this year if that compared to what Lance could have done.

With the stipulation that the trade involves OL or DL and the draft picks acquired are earmarked OL or DL. You give Jerry extra draft picks and he turns around and blows them on TEs and WRs all over again.

What about this front office makes you think we can execute a trade and get anything worthwhile back?

Is he the second coming of LT? Certainly not. Is he playing like a 1st round talent? The kid is was on pace for a HOF career before we bring in Zimmer.

Parsons needs to be free to move around. He's not a DE. We need to bring someone in that can build a defense around his talent. Make our defense unpredictable and see how we can shine. And IF that doesn't pay off, then trade him.

It's too late for that. The ONLY way was to let Dak play out, and trade CeeDee AND Micah for loads of picks. One of those high picks needed to be QB, and that ain't happening now. Instead, we got what we got, and Jerry will pay Micah a fortune, and he will burn years off his career here, being the only guy who can sniff the QB. The future was written this offseason.

I was very much against this until this offseason knowing we strictly replenish this roster with just draft picks. We need the bodies

Honestly I struggle to argue against that. I look back to last year and other than the Seattle game (Which I have to tip my hat to Prescott for that one) I'm not sure if the win total is any different with at least a competent QB. I think it was 11 of the 12 wins last season the Cowboys held teams to under 20 points. I would have had zero issues running with that model to win games and invested the cap money into building a legit top 5 defense around Micah and rolling the dice on a QB.
