Mayfield feels disrespected

I would trade Dak for Mayfield in a heartbeat.
His stats are good.

I’m just wondering what has he won I mean he can barely even win his division.

I think Baker is solid. Just inconsistent. I guess a lot of these guys are. They can look all world at times and then look shockingly bad. That probably fits everyone but Mahomes and Hurts.
Bucs should pay him.

I like where your head's at. Mayfield would do some real damage in this offense.

Ehh... maybe but that means our production as an offense would most likely drop in the passing game but he'd probably get more rushing yards, no doubt.

Mayfield career QBR 91.2

Prescott career QBR 98.3

Mayfield only had one season finishing in the top overall quarterbacking category. Dak has finished top ten, every season he's completed healthy.

I could go on and on, but as good as Mayfield is, he's not on Dak's level. Now i would say that i like Mayfield's fire and grit at times. He's a damn good quarterback but we'd be taking a step down with him in this offense compared to what we already have.

He survived Cleveland.

Real suggesting that the Cowboys try to get Baker?

He'd make our quarterback room the best in the league but I don't think Mayfield wants to be a backup in this league yet. He still has quality starter years left so this would be a bad fit for him.

Prescott career QBR rating 98.3

On that level of Goff and Prescott where, if you don't mind me asking?
Probably the “eye test” I keep hearing guys talk about lol

So you would worsen your overall quarterback production for what? I'll tell you what. Tell me what team has ever traded a higher ranked, more accomplished quarterback for a lower ranked and less accomplished quarterback in every quarterbacking category?

What team in NFL history has purposely worsened a position via trade with a lower ranked player in the same position. Please make what you said make sense because I really don't want to assume that you have absolutely no clue how football works.

It must have been the same sets of eyes that claimed Dak was the "check down King" but failed to SEE that he tied for first place in the NFL for passes completed for over 40 yards.

Thank God these same "eye test" people don't work for the Cowboys scouting department.

I don’t even want to know what would possess someone to want Baker over Dak. If someone didn’t want either? Fine. There is literally nothing Baker does better than Dak and people can’t use the talent around him excuse because he inherited a lot of those guys Brady had.

I’m not going to say that Baker is better than Dak, but Baker is a really good example of why I wouldn’t be married to the idea that you have to have to extend your QB no matter what.

15 years ago it was terrifying to lose a QB without someone waiting down the depth chart. Now it’s not all that difficult to find an average producer if you have some weapons for them to utilize.

"That's really the disappointing part -- to feel undervalued after thinking you've earned it," said Mayfield, who led the Bucs to back-to-back NFC South titles in 2023 and 2024 before an injury-marred season derailed his and the team's efforts in 2025.

He said even if the Bucs wanted to continue to try to negotiate, he said he won't be speaking to the organization and that, his agent is "not going to be bothering him with it unless he's actually recognized for his value."

If you haven’t been watching this years “Quarterback” on Netflix, you’re missing a pretty good show.
They have an awfully bad GM how come they didn't get ahead of this why didn't they pay him early why are they having problems with Vea and Mayfield at the same time..

I mean that's terrible that they didn't think ahead and make sure all their guys were taken care of and not unhappy... Look at that mess with Brandon Ayuk over there in San Francisco wow just wow..

I know I'm missing some people because I seen a story there's several guys doing these hold-ins..

Crazy these stand alone GM's that just can't get deals done or they overpay in order to get them done early and only to have them backfire..

Sounds like it's pretty normal in the league for these things to happen, and for big names to be traded off your team, how in the world can you be trading guys like Dexter Lawrence and Myles Garrett you're supposed to keep all these guys?!!

apparently, the Cowboys fan base thinks that Jerry is the only one that has these problems.

rant over LOL

Yes, the same people who claim that he wasn't good under pressure wasn't very accurate yet his touchdown interception ratio is great His tight window throws or at the top of the league he's had lots of guys that don't get very good separation over the years and yet he still gets them the ball when he can, And it's already been disproven because he's one of the better guys under pressure during the blitz that completes balls at a regular rate he makes teams pay for that and that's with two very questionable tackles the last two or three years...

We get it he has some warts so does every quarterback in the damn league I watched Matthew Stafford lead lead league in interceptions and nobody talks about it and yet throws two interceptions nearly 3 in the Super Bowl they win the Super Bowl and somehow he he gets a pass for his mistakes because his team was better They overcome this kind of stuff because they were a better team from top to bottom..

That's the problem here we We're putting everything on our quarterback if he doesn't play perfect they blame him for the problems I've seen Troy have terrible first half in one of the Buffalo games in the Super Bowl he had an interception it it didn't look like he can hit the broadside of a barn he was way off his team was down 10 I believe at the half and if it wasn't for Emmitt Smith and that defense we would have lost that Super Bowl troy Aikman did not play well and they want it in that great that he has one of the rings that everyone slobbers over and he didn't even play that well in the game...

Depends quite often that is why the Eagles saying that Troy might be overrated if they're gonna say Jalen Hurts is bus driver and he being carried on his team because of his stats are low then we could say the same thing about Troy Troy had every advantage from the coaching staff the defense the offensive line Emmitt Smith and his stats were pedestrian..

Think Prescott would love to not have to always have to score 27 to 33 points a game to have a chance to win games.. There are very few games that he's in that are low scoring he's had three defenses that can be considered some of the worst the NFL has ever put on the field and that's not exaggerating those are facts they were calling three since 2016 historically bad defenses..

And yes they go right back to Prescott's overpaid he's overrated he can't play in big games so just keep moving to goal posts they keep adding things that are not true to his warts..

No but according to Cowboys Nation you hate the man They should have not been in this position he should've got paid that is the market remember he's in the market he's up for a new deal he must earn one of the higher deals because the market says so that is what everyone says in here We talking about a guy that is at least one of the top starters in the league where he falls it doesn't matter There have been worse quarterbacks to get that kind of money like Kyler Murray who's already gone from his team and they're eating all that money there's been worse contracts he does deserve 50 according to the market that is not breaking Prescott that is not gonna put them in the top three but it'll put them in the top 8 maybe of quarterbacks then he deserves it according to Cowboys Land the Cowboy zone here's one of the better quarterbacks you pay the man you should not even think about it a great GM and a great owner would not let this happen and they have 2 guys on their team right now one of their better players on defense and offense that are unhappy why is that Just pay them it's that easy you simply just dip into your never ending salary cap that's supposed to be fake and you just pay them what they want you make your players happy that's supposed to be what a stand alone great GM and a great non meddling owner does..
