Mayfield feels disrespected

I’m not going to say that Baker is better than Dak, but Baker is a really good example of why I wouldn’t be married to the idea that you have to have to extend your QB no matter what.

15 years ago it was terrifying to lose a QB without someone waiting down the depth chart. Now it’s not all that difficult to find an average producer if you have some weapons for them to utilize.
Baker isn’t the proof of that he’s been apart of some bad programs. He was a backup for a little while.

Sam Darnold is a better example. Baker is a example of why I would rather try my luck with guys like Goff or Dak than a Baker.

So you would worsen your overall quarterback production for what? I'll tell you what. Tell me what team has ever traded a higher ranked, more accomplished quarterback for a lower ranked and less accomplished quarterback in every quarterbacking category?

What team in NFL history has purposely worsened a position via trade with a lower ranked player in the same position. Please make what you said make sense because I really don't want to assume that you have absolutely no clue how football works.
Would Baker be playing with the most explosive offensive talent he has ever had if he came to Dallas? That would make a huge difference in his performance, no?

Baker and feeling disrespected, name a better duo.
Disrespected in Cleveland, Carolina and now Tampa.

Disrespected HOF 1st ballot.

I get him wanting a good deal with term. Bucs seem to either want to retool in general or just want to piss off their QB and DT.

I just don’t see a massive gap between those guys to be honest. If you swapped baker and Darnold I’m not sure either teams record changes much at all.

And while I agree that it probably wouldn’t have been as good as 2025 Dak both players probably put up very respectable numbers in Dallas.

In talent no. Talent wise all these guys are of similar caliber. But it says something about a guy even with help who can make the right throw and right decision. Baker hasn’t showed that. Dak hasn’t either especially against San Fran.

Baker stepped in when Stafford got hurt and had an explosive offense talent with the Rams, am I right? He played well too, so why didn't the Rams keep him as a starter?

Most likely because he wasn't on Stafford's level, correct? I know you weren't the one who originally said it, but I was responding to the person who claimed they would trade Dak for Baker.

Unless Baker came with a 1st and and multiple 2nd round pics, how much sense does it make to trade a higher graded player for a lower one in the same position?

I don’t even want to know what would possess someone to want Baker over Dak. If someone didn’t want either? Fine. There is literally nothing Baker does better than Dak and people can’t use the talent around him excuse because he inherited a lot of those guys Brady had.

Exactly..... but when you bring up people having low football IQs, thats considered "a personal attack". Yet their protectors can't explain how it can be beneficial to a team to trade a higher producing and higher ranked player for a lesser producing, lower ranked journeyman in the same position.

Im still waiting for those few to make that make logical sense..... they won't though because they can't.

That’s when they tell on themselves when they start saying they’d rather have a inferior qb…I know then yeah that’s not a sports take.
