We can all hate on the guy (RW), he deserves alot of it. But Amendola is nowhere near as good as Roy Williams is. If cap wasnt a factor, the Rams would fall all over themselves to trade him straight up for RW. Almost anybody would.
Amendola is a career 4/5 WR at best. His yds per recption numbers resemble a FB. Which is pathetic.
Let's see. Amendola was on a horrible offense, had absolutely no other receiving weapons around him, and still caught 85 balls for almost 700 yards and 3 TD's. Plus he is a solid returner as well, so he DOES have value on special teams.
No, they wouldn't trade Amendola straight up for RW. Us as Cowboy fans have a tendency to overvalue our own talent. Ask a fan of any other team and they would take Amendola any day. He's consistent.
Amendola caught a pass in every game, and only had one game with 1 reception. Every other game he caught 3 or more passes (with the exception of one game).
RW on the other hand went THREE games with ZERO catches. He also had THREE games with 1 reception.
Amendola is more consistent and productive than Roy Williams. Plus, Amendola is 25 years old, and has way more upside than RW, who will not get any better (he wasn't good to begin with).

If Hurd got Amendola's reps, he would post far better numbers. At least he can run after catch some.
I'm not into playing hypotheticals. "What if" this player got "this" player's reps. The bottom line is, Hurd is a "JAG" and nothing more than a special teams player.
Are we comparing who's the better special teams player? No. Amendola is a much better WR than Hurd and it isn't even close.
