The host said that he believed Eli would sit back in the pocket and pick the Cowboys apart just like he did the previous time since the Cowboys can't rush the passer. Mayock responded with a little history lesson on Eli's numbers against the Cowboys the last two games. He added the front is more of a challenge than people give it credit. He specifically reference to Malik has a presence in the middle. He closed noting the offense of line troubles for the Giants.

We sacked Manning 2 times in last years opener. and 3 times game in NY. As for sacks last year, we were #13 in the league out of 32 teams. Not exactly 'cant rush the passer'.

The Giants do have an offensive of line troubles.

I wonder just how offended was the line??? Do the Giants serve a suspension for offending that line?
Does this fall under violation of the conduct policy?... Lol

Seriously though, it has been an issue of their's for a while and yet it never seems to be a problem when they play the Cowboys.

They do subscribe to the unbeatable offense designed by @MichaelWinicki which has the pass out of the QB's hands quickly, rendering the rush irrelevant.

But we just have never been able to force the Eli mistakes that a lot of other teams seem to be able to do.

They also think they shut Zeke down both games but conveniently forget he went for over a 100 the second game. Giants and thier fans forget alot of those first two games. They think they own us because of last year.

This is easily the best front 7 Marinelli has had. Collins, Smith and Charlton could turn it into a great one.
Or just a pretty average one. I have yet to see Marinelli craft great lines away from Tampa.

I've seen Heath Evans talk a few times over the offseason, as recently as this week, about how the Giants "handled" or "shut down" or "blanked" the Cowboys last year. Not a single co-host responded with both wins coming by a combined 4 points.

I'd probably punch that guy's face in if I saw him.

He had some pretty good defenses in Chicago with Peppers before coming here, like arguably best D in the league good.

And he needs talent to produce. Peppers, Sapp, Rice, Tommie Harris you name it.

I just don't think he has the talent nor do I believe this idea that he can just will average talent to be more than it is.
