I've seen Heath Evans talk a few times over the offseason, as recently as this week, about how the Giants "handled" or "shut down" or "blanked" the Cowboys last year. Not a single co-host responded with both wins coming by a combined 4 points.

I'd probably punch that guy's face in if I saw him.

You don't think the talent in the front 7 is better than it's been the last few years?

2014 our best DL was who? Mincey? George Selvie? They wouldn't have made the 2017 roster.

You don't think Collins is a huge upgrade over the DTs we had back when we took over like Nick Hayden?

We've invested a ton of picks the last couple years to the defense.

Taco Charlton, Maliek Collins, Jaylon Smith, Charles Tapper... let's see what they can do before saying the talent is no better.

How has that been our philosophy?

We've dedicated lots of resources to the front 7 the past 2 drafts and will get to see how that plays out this year.

We even tried to swing hard in 2015 with Gregory and Hardy... they didn't work out, but it was still an effort on our part to bring in talent for him.

The idea that we've neglected our front 7 is just not true.

Mayock responded with a little history lesson on Eli's numbers against the Cowboys the last two games. He added the front is more of a challenge than people give it credit. He specifically reference to Malik has a presence in the middle. He closed noting the offense of line troubles for the Giants.
