I think you might be misconstruing work ethic for leadership. If you hear him talk, let's just say he is not all that inspirational.
Darn

I was hoping the whole team captain thing meant he was some kind of leader

He might be that for LSU, he did get their jersey thing. I just don't see him stepping into the NFL and being that kind of "leader". Things are a little different professionally. I don't doubt he will be a good foot soldier. RKG all that, but he is hardly a Ray Lewis.

Not being Ray Lewis is the standard you knock on guys over? Lewis was in the top 1 percent of the top 1 percent of nfl inspirational leaders.

I won't even get worked up about White, I know he won't be a cowboy. We have good decision makers now

It is not logical, but I don't have a great feeling about drafting another LSU DB. I know Peterson and Honey Badger have been good, but for some reason it just gives me a bad vibe.
Its more dread than bad vibe for me,stay far away from White.

Notice the confident smile of a true leader. The confidence is just oozing out of him.

He actually does, great instincts and ball skills, not a terrific athlete and definitely not physical, he is basically a smaller version of Claiborne, but maybe mentally he is much better than Morris.

Claiborne is a physical outside corner. White is a finesse slot guy. Very different guys.

I read that he played well against Calvin Ridley, Amari Cooper, and Antonio Caldwell. Treadwell gave a lot of talented guys problems in college. And 4/58/1 really isn't that bad, considering he averaged 6/89/0.85 in 2015.

White would have been called for holding/interference (more) if that was the NFL. That almost TD in the right side of the end zone was definite blatant holding.

Fair enough. Kelly and Treadwell were one of the very best QB/WR combos in college football in 2015. You can't use that one game to make a call on White. Especially since he doesn't project to be lining up against the bully WRs at the next level.

I don't want White at 28, but he's a good player. High floor, low ceiling; should start day 1.
