Stat geek football.
So you're saying it took some years before Osa could develop into this current form of a couple of sacks in a year and a half as a starting 3 tech?I’m not defending anyone or saying anyone is anything….but sometimes it DOES take guys time to develop into actual players.
Just in time to be a free agent.
My friend, if you read my first sentence you’ll understand that I’m not referencing anyone in particular. So you're saying it took some years before Osa could develop into this current form of a couple of sacks in a year and a half as a starting 3 tech?
Let this be a lesson for us all. Good things come to those who are patient.
Most do...professional OL size, speed and scheme can be overwhelmingDTs take a while to develop coach.
To use this as somehow evidence for this lesson of being patient with players is laughable. Osa has been one of the worst starting 3 techs the last two seasons. 2 sacks. 26 games. 27 if you count the playoff game. That's pathetic. My friend, if you read my first sentence you’ll understand that I’m not referencing anyone in particular.
If I’m saying anything at all, it’s that I believe that there are players in the league whose best ball is ahead of them when their rookie deal expires.
Not everyone is a great player immediately, nor is a full bust if they don’t.
Fixed it for you.Maybe, just maybe the lights are coming on ( lol ). Seriously, I'm happy for him.......hope he can keep it up. Fans have been tough on him, mostly NOT deserved.
pff = Pro Football FOOLS.Mazi is a bust.
2024 pff grade is 35
It’s a 6M cap hit to post June 1 cut him next Spring.
so..he likely gets a roster spot.
It may eventually happen. Just a matter of time.I thought Odigi ended Daniel’s season their first offensive snap.
I think you’re reading much more into it than was my point. To use this as somehow evidence for this lesson of being patient with players is laughable. Osa has been one of the worst starting 3 techs the last two seasons. 2 sacks. 26 games. 27 if you count the playoff game. That's pathetic.
What are you saying? That we should be more patient or we risk losing Mazi Smiths and Osa Whoseyourmommas? WGAS.
I tend to agree.Mazi is a bust.
2024 pff grade is 35
The smart teams keep a bull pen, they develop. Most do...professional OL size, speed and scheme can be overwhelming
Mazi isn't a bust, he is just barely getting started.I tend to agree.
He had a nice game, I give him credit for that.I hope he starts to click.
But at best, he is a rotational 1 tech. We need another true 1 tech to platoon with him for this to work, and for a first round pick, that's a bust.
Most organizations find rotational 1 techs on Day 3, or on the scap heap (like Hankins).
To invest a Round 1 pick for this return meets the definition of a bust.
For now, just give me two trash cans full of dirt. And the return of defensive ends healthy.Patience, grasshopper
Yes it does literally it's called development it's called giving a guy a chance to at least find a role in a niche in this league there are plenty of players like him starting on other teams in a rotation sure he's not a elite starter he's not even a full time starter they rotate out into your defensive tackles all the time especially nose tacklesit doesent and shouldnt take multiple seasons to see if a player has IT. and he does not have it..but jerry will hold on to him and probably give him an extension cause well know he hates being wrong about players.
