Tom Brady was just a bad example. By NFL standard he was neither fast or quick.
.
But don't cry.
You're okay. Even though you take things too personal.
He’s a lesson for you. I’m known for saying I’ve made a mistake. I’m one for not holding a grudge,. I never take it personal. So you’re wrong again

It’s called the five dot drills that he perfected in high school . So just say I didn’t know that. Thanks for telling me and have a good night.

You’re welcome to your opinion, my cowboy brother time to move on to new Issue
It's not an opinion. It's fact. By NFL standards, Tom Brady is neither quick or fast.
Tom Brady has less than 1200 yards rushing and averaged less than 2 yards per rush after 22 years in the NFL.

It's not fair to Mazi to compare him to Jalen Carter.
Just curious but why not? I'm not sure who else you really compare Mazi to?

Jalen Carter - 6'3" 315LB rookie 1st round DT from a major school
Mazi Smith - 6'3" 330LB rookie 1st round DT from a major school

Not all DTs are 1T guys. I’m guessing Carter could do it here and there, but he’s more 3T.

Jordan Davis is the Eagle DT that is more comparable to Mazi for the role they will play

I don't get all the talk about rookies, Mazi might have been the big boy among the boys in college, but this is the pros where he's going up against MEN who have MAN STRENGTH, it's going to take an offseason or two in the weight room and his body maturing into a MAN......He will show flashes this year but it's going to take some time to see his full potential....

None of us knows what Mazi can become and all we can hope for is that the coaches can get him rolling. I trust whatever the coaches think at this point, that's why they're getting the big bucks.
If he can be developed then Quinn can do it. He is a master of getting the most out of players. But a big part of it will be him having the desire and motivation to be what he can be
He sure has the physical part to be a good player

Yes, he sure does. Quinn will develop him and we have Hankins in there too. It was better to draft Mazi than to pass on him and possibly miss out on Mazi and Benton.

I sort of agree, definitely see where you're coming from there, but regardless they are both still interior DLs. Playing mostly 3T Carter will have more chances to show up on the stat sheet, but you can still evaluate their skills and compare the two. With other positions we don't worry about comparing X receivers with Z receivers or an inline TE vs a flex TE. I'm not a fan of making too much of preseason snaps (I'll wait until the regular season), but just looking at the two players so far it seems that Carter is more advanced in understanding leverage and how to use body positioning.

I'm a Mazi fan, but certainly not a Mazi apologist. I think he should be compared to Carter, and the end goal should be for Mazi to be good enough to play multiple techniques along the dline to maximize his snap count. I'm not lowering my expectations based off of mixed results weve gotten so far on a small sample size. If this were an undersized 280lb pure gap shooter compared to a Vince Wilfork I think your argument holds up better, but we have two massive human beings with a freakish strength/athleticism combo who's jobs will be 80% similar, especially on run downs.

I no longer care. Well maybe I do lol how many sacks has he diverted? That’s quick feat. You’re still not understanding the difference between quickness and speed. We could do this all season.
