Troy Aikman went 1-15 in his rookie season. He was pretty bad early on.

Dallas went 1-15.

Not disagreeing with you that Aikman as a rookie wasn't close to what he would become, but I hate pinning team outcomes on QBs. That was a bad team that only had a few building blocks in place. I'm not sure a seasoned QB would have looked very good on it.
