Wow. I don't think I've ever labeled a player a bust, but that wasn't an impressive reel AT ALL. He either got man-handled, did nothing with a one-on-one blocking scheme, was slow off the ball and looked too passive. I didn't see not ONE play that impressed me. And I'm easily impressed when it comes to my Cowboys.

A D Linemen playing on grass, but with a clean uniform after a number of plays, is not a good look. Just sayin'.

Fergy didnt take a year because it took him a year. Fergy was fine last year he was just behind shultz on the depth chart. it was clear last year when called upon he would answer the bell IMO

Most don't understand the NT position. It is to contain first, to take away lanes in the A/B gap, it's a boring position.

Not many NT's are doing a lot against the pass and or against outside runs.

I don't think you can compare Mazi and Jalen Carter. Mazi is supposed to be a 1T or NT. Cater I am pretty sure plays a 3T. Mazi's role is different.

In any case, Mazi is a rookie and will need a year or two to develop. What we want to see from him is improvement year over year. Look at Alim McNeill this year. He was nothing special his rookie year either but he has developed into a pretty good DT now.

What worries me about Mazi is the weight loss. I do not understand why they want him so slim. I thought he was going to be another NT like Hankins, or that was the intent. Why draft him then turn him into a 3T? There were other DTs available that could play that role. The Cowboys need to get bigger on the DL, not smaller.

The comment is on topic. I posted videos of Mazi Smith. People saw it and graded him with their own eyes. I posted videos a little later of Jalen Carter, who looked the same as Mazi Smith.

Now, if you are going to say Mazi Smith is bad, then should you say the same thing about Jalen Carter. Or do you grade players differently?

OMG. I have never see a get off so slow. and slow feet. lots of wasted steps and movement. not a lot of power. I probably saw about 5 total good plays (not great, just good). he is taco charlton 2.0

ferguson showed potential even his first year. we have seen no potential from Mazi. that's the issue. Mazi was a first round pick. Fergi a 4th round pick
