The TCU game was kinda like watching what teams do to Tank when he was solo on the Dline... Mazi wasn't going to beat that TCU olline by himself it was that good...Mazi will be a day 1 starter and more than capable of keeping our LB's clean on run plays...its exactly what most of us have been screaming for.

Uh, no he wasn't. Stop repeating stupid RJ from the radio.

Huge chunks of those yards came away from him. I am very sure his game vs them was a big reason why the cowboys love him.

If you want to watch him...

Dude don‘t wast your time. The same folks griped about Smith and Parsons. Mazi is in VERY good company.

One reports says 34 reps .. while another report I read had 24 reps, maybe the latter is a typo error ?
The 6-foot-3, 337-pound senior has rare power and agility. So rare, in fact, it’s hard to find the right superlative to begin with. But let’s start with this: Smith does 22 reps on the bench press, but that’s with 325 (not 225). He close-grip benched 550 pounds. He vertical-jumps 33 inches. He broad-jumped 9-4 1/2. Smith, who had 37 tackles last season, has clocked a 4.41 shuttle time, which would’ve tied the best by any defensive tackle at this year’s NFL Scouting Combine, and it would’ve been better than any defensive tackle weighing 310 pounds or more in the past decade. His 6.95 3-cone time would’ve been by far the fastest among defensive tackles in Indianapolis. The fastest was 7.33.

I’ve seen this video. And I’m still confused. Not trying to be inflammatory or anything but honestly what about his play in this video excites you?
Here’s what I saw:
1) rarely any push
2) did not require a double team
3) zero pash rush
4) regularly stayed blocked
5) team ram right past him, esp the QB
6) SLOW off the snap

Considering how Duggan ram past him, can’t wait to see what Hurtz does.
I sincerely hope I can come here and say I was wrong in 12 months or so but I didn’t see Mazi as draftable.
I agree with #6, seems like he is the last one off the snap, in NFL, OL will get good leverage by establishing good position on him. He is probably going to be a pure clog the middle, get OL engaged so that LBs can make plays kind of guy
