MM will be back. Hard to fire a coach with his record. You could say he overachieved this year. After the first game we all thought the season was over. The Cowboys have a habit of sliding after Thanksgiving and it's happened for 27 years. to be continued.....
- Doug Pederson was eventually fired despite winning the SB with a backup QB .(and won over the Brady/Belichek at that) .
- Ron Rivera was eventually fired from Carolina despite making a Super Bowl appearance (vs Denver)
- We know well what happened with our Jimmie Johnson issue.
- George Seifert was forced to ‘” resign” despite winning SB two years before.
- John Fox won a SB with Peyton Manning onboard, but he was eventually fired from the Broncos
- Ken Whisenhunt brought Cardinals to their only SB appearance ever in their history, but was eventually fired.
- Gruden won a SB, but was eventually forced out in Tampa land.
- Our own Dan Quinn made his SB appearance vs Pats, but declined and fired soon afterwards.
- Been several cases with NFL head coaches that have had successful regular season records and even SB appearances and wins, but eventually canned.
McCarthy has did what Garrett could not do,.. have winning seasons and playoff appearances in back to back years.
- But listening to Stephen Jones, ..the impression i got is they want more than winning seasons and a quick playoff exit.
They want that coach that can get us over the big obstacle bump in the road.
- Could this be similar to that Jon Gruden over Tony Dungy HC move in Tampa many years back ?
