On the road you absolutely have to have a running game. This team has not had a real once since prime Zeke.

Pollard out there looking exactly like Felix Jones when he took over the starting spot.

Pollard is more of a James Cook type RB ... an all purpose RB built and suited for a James Cook type role and scheme.

But we are trying to force him to a Zeke bell cow, angry runner. pounding up the middle gut in every game.
inside of designing off tackle, off the edges, in spaces and in the pass game.

I don't get McCarthy because he did so with all purpose guys like Aaron Jones and Ty Montgomery.

maybe. The Fins' have speed/splash oriented cut back RBs and they have a scheme that fits their abilities.

While we have a scheme that prefers our RBs to be ground pounder bell cows.
And we very rarely uses them in the pass game.

What a reactive doofus. he buys into the narrative too? It’s not about “the road”, it’s about the QB and the personnel. Was it really the change in venue that caught this team off guard? No, it was the QB who went deer in headlights and kept taking sacks.

It wouldn't surprise me if we don't win either of the remaining road games. Team goes into a shell in a hostile environment and loses rhythm and discipline.

Yeh Mac, we are not same team On the Road, and the bigger the competition, the more threat of a defeat it presents to us.

So what if this was playoff time vs a Philly, or Niners ? then does that spell exit playoffs and sent home ?

That spells your players having a lesser mental toughness, approach, focus and a lack of discipline.
In short, SOFT and a lack of killer mentality.

He's basically telling Jerry not to fire him when they lose on the road in the playoffs.

And he's the best man for the job for regular season home wins against lesser opponents.

Jerry will consider this as his optimal comfort zone of relevance.
