Sounds good but implementing it is another story.
Better change the run blocking schemes too.

Thing is HC that calls plays too, cant stay focused on the game because
they are always looking at play sheet , deciding which play to call next.

I honestly can’t believe Mike actually said that.

I really can’t.

It’s wonderful to hear, but I’m truly surprised he went that far.
All of this makes perfect sense doesnt it fivetwos?
I mean,
since in all his time as a play caller at his previous team and now in an offseason where he has a washed up and injured RB as his returning starters, this coach is touting a run first approach?
I'll be the first to say sign me up for this.

But in the back of my mind I'm more like this is lip service and seeing is believing.

At least he's saying all the right things so far.

Looks like the other coaches got tired of the defense making a big stop and we go 3 and out on next possession.

Now whether that was Moore or Dak's fault is another argument.

So Jerry is telling him to feed Zeke since he’ll be paying him $16 million next season?

All you guys that complain about Dak’s garbage time stats won’t have anything to complain about anymore. I kid. I kid. You guys complain about everything.

I think this says a lot. Mike wants more complimentary football. He doesn’t care about having the #1 ranked offense. This is good.

So MM doesn’t care to have the #1 ranked offense in the league ? And all the serious stats that come with it ? He says he’d rather win a championship instead. Lots of homers on here always cited these kinds of empty rankings and stats whenever a normal fan spoke about how we accomplish nothing of significance year after year. Moore was such an awesome OC and Dak was top 3 QB according to them due to meaningless stats. Maybe MM’s perspective can help them.

This situation reminds me of year three under Parcells

Parcells, when hired, had just been through a costly divorce and wanted a final big payday before retirement.

Jerry Jones decided to talk an innovator of the 34 defense into staying with Mike Zimmers 43, because he thought they had something great going on…and his own fingerprints were all over it.

In year three Parcells got a little more serious about wanting to win as opposed to the paycheck.

I think we’re going back to the 2016 formula but with better players and a QB who is not a rookie anymore.
The "formula" for 2016 was 3 HOF quality olinemen in their prime all making All Pro, plus two other quality olinemen, and a rookie RB who was the 4th pick of the draft and played up to that pick, making All Pro too.

Don't think we ever got 3 All Pro linemen in one year, going back to the Emmitt SB years.

There's no going back to that in the near future.

Schottenheimer revamping entire running game + McCarthy tweaking the passing game = 35%
