McCarthy forcing the run in the red zone was very telling

No one was open. But my comment was why run in that situation twice. I wouldn’t have myself but I get why he might have not wanted to throw every down there either
I think they need to go back to what was working for the last two years inside the 20. To go from best in the league for the past two years to completely struggling has to be about scheme (and a few drops).

Why run?

Dak showed you why MM was forcing the run down there at the end.

When they show you who they are, believe them.
So he only got scared of Dak on that drive? Why did he let Dak throw more on the previous red zone trips?

Reality is this isn't what you think it is. McCarthy likely thought he was outfoxing the Cards DC who he thought would be playing nickle or dime there assuming we'd throw and he'd sneak a run in there.

That's not to excuse Dak who was not exactly great either but some of you are out in LF thinking McCarthy is somehow being held back by Dak. We got problems on O. One big one can rectify itself - OL gets healthy. The other two problems? Nothing can fix Dak or McCarthy.

I’m sure he ran because he thought it would work. We ran the ball pretty well in the game.
Personally I would have kicked the FG on the first 4th down that we got stopped on to make it a 5 point game. I would have thrown underneath on the last one instead of running. They played over and under so hitting someone in the endzone would have been tough but I’d have thrown underneath and tried powering it in on at least the early downs

He was doing all he could to avoid passing the ball with Dak down there.

When he finally had no choice Dak threw the game ending INT.
:lmao::lmao2::facepalm:

I thought you said after we started 2-0 you wouldn't be posting anymore saying you would be just reading posts now?

Well I am glad you corrected yourself after I pointed out that it was only the last drive and previous trips inside the red zone we were passing more than running.

Also probably because they dropped 7 into coverage ( that's pass defense in case you want to understand) and giving Cowboys the runs. Still tackled Pollard for a loss on one of the runs with a 4 man front.

-Doesn't trust our staring QB to throw in the red zone, then starting QB proves him right by throwing INT
-Let's extend our starting QB for 5 years/280 million, 56 million a year! Winning! /sarcasm

He is part of the TMZ crowd. Perception is all that matters. I gave him the same facts. We ran 7 times and passed 10.

Next he is going to say what was the outcome of the passes and that's why when game was on the line he didn't trust Dak.

He is very preditable

You have the gift of hindsight.
if you see the whole field and where the other WRs are you will see there wasn't much choice. not defending Dak. he should have thrown it to the back of the endzone instead of Cooks in the middle of the endzone and live for another play. but all the recievers were bunched closely in the same area, which made the job of DBs easy and left no running/passing lanes. including how cook came across the endzone. the play design didn't force the DBs to make a decision on where to go and who to cover, they were just sitting and waiting for any throw.
