I hope this doesn't end up being a problem. Mike came in looking kinda fit last year. Now he looks like a lard butt again... Just hope it doesn't impact his coaching.

When you’re as fat as he is this is inevitable. It’s one of those preventable injuries if you care about your body and health.

Visits by the prospects, shoring up the draft board during the last few weeks --- head coach wanted to be in on those proceedings.
Rookie camp and the first few OTAs can be run by the rest of the coaching staff under DC Quinn.
That’s fair. I’m not trying to say it’s some huge problem, there’s just plenty of dates open this time of year.

As long as he's at home scribbling down plays and cackling madly, I'm OK with it.

Cowboys OTA schedule is May 22-23, May 25, May 30, June 1-2, June 13-15
Mandatory minicamp June 6-8.
Then - everyone takes a "summer break" until training camp starts around the third week of July.
My thinking is - McCarthy's procedure done now...he has a few weeks to recover \ rehab to make it back to the mandatory minicamp...or up two a couple of months before training camp, if he needs the extra time.
