Pollard will be very lucky to be 100% at season start. Dak will be airing it out in September and probably into October. As the weather cools, hopefully Pollard will be rolling…if not we’re screwed.

There's a reason there aren't many 5'5 guys in the league. Physicality of NFL is on far different level than college. There's a role for him and I hope he's an outlier. It's unlikely he's the bell cow that we desperately need.

With a mainstay Cowboys player exiting the premesis...the RB competition should be fierce in training camp and preseason.

to me that was Jerry saying it though with other Dr's saying "No that timeline is unreal" on TP those other Dr's are saying he will be ready...anything can happen but to me those 2 situations are diferent.

Jones is a JAG. If the FB they signed as URFA is any good Jone may not be on the roster when season begins.

Jones had 60 plus on 12 Touches in a Tampa SB win . That’s 5 yards a carry . I remember the Bucs getting juice from him when he spelled Fournette . I look forward to an attack by committee in Dallas . Add in Deuce plus Davis the RB room is covered.

Action means more than words. At RB we have Pollard, Vough, Jones and Davis. We drafted a 5'5 RB and no realistic immediate help at OL. Got a TE that started 4 yrs at Big Ten who can probably block. But the current started offense isn't exactly striking fear into opposing D with our running game.

We are marginally better with addition of Brandon Cooks but if we are expecting Dak to CARRY this OFFENSE..... well, we seen this movie a few times already.

2nd highest scoring team in the league last year. Gallup will be back to 100%. Added WR Cooks. Added a blocking machine at TE that can also catch. Added a RB playmaker named VAUGHN who upgrades the return game also. Added a vet RB in Jones that will be an upgrade over Zeke. Added a OL in FA and Draft.

"Historically bad offseason " "will be a bad year", "organically tanking". "horrible draft of reaches" no picks will contribute " Bargain Bin FAs won't help" CeeDEE cant be #1 W/O AC protecting him"..

Those were last offseason headlines and ALL WRONG.. ill give those fans this they are truly sticking to that negative debbie downer drama queens off season perditictions so maybe one year they will finally get it correct,

Yes, McCarthy said he wants tor run more. But BigMac didn't run the ball in Green Bay.

It was a rarity for McCarthy’s backs to even pass the 250 carry threshold during his time in Green Bay. Only Ahman Green (266) in 2006, Grant (282) in 2009, and Eddie Lacy (284) in 2013 accomplished the feat. That’s just four times in 13 seasons that McCarthy fed the lead RB in his offense.

McCarthy’s backs also only ran for 1,000 yard in five of his 13 seasons in charge.
Doesn't mean he can't change, but likely he's going to RBBC, rather than relying on a bell cow.
Also he doesn't have a Favre or Rodgers at QB. So running will help the offense control the clock and shorten the game where he doesn't have to outscore the other team.

I have expressed similar trust issues to this HC's offseason coachspeak for all the reasons you have posted here.
It's like all of a sudden this guy is a ground and pound advocate while discarding all of his high pass volume offenses in his previous 3 decades of coaching?

Seeing is believing.
I'd be the first in line to support a return to Linehan's 2016 offense but the problem is we don't have that o-line or that running back.

Sounds good in these press conferences though and anything that keeps Dak from being pass happy is what I want to see.

I just don't think this coach or QB can keep from being a pass first mentality.

And that will be the team's downfall again unfortunately.

To me that’s a good thing. Dak throwing > 30 x per game is not a recipe for winning.

the same way they gave all the carries to Emmitt smith no matter what with huge OLK and hardly threw the ball, like many 200 yard 1 td games by troy had 141 INTs in his career despite that great run game and OL.?? the run game carried our 90s teams 100% of the time Troy never carried this team, ironic 22 holds out, they go 0-2 and the team was angry and demanded jerry sign ES22 to LTD and then it was history,.,. troy was surrounded and protected his entire career along with Roger and Landry's crazy OL schemes and the 2 headed RB
