I think it was more of a courtesy type thing. Like a "is there anything else you need from me".

The more Dak tries to do, the higher the probability of him making a mistake. I rather live with him just maximizing his potential by letting everyone else carry him.

Nah exactly, these threads are useless. Of course he said this, what do you expect? All I expect is a coach, who stands up for his guys and takes the blame when something goes wrong, like any manager. Nothing to see here.
