Thanks for the memories, Mike. No hard feelings, but he was brought in to advance in the playoffs. 1 win in 3 appearances over 5 years. Would've liked to keep him on board. Respect him as a coach for what he has been able to accomplish, and I do think he got a raw deal this year with the dumpster fire of a roster he had to work with. I'm not confident the Jones clan will find a better option on the open market, but maybe a fresh perspective and a nice draft class or two will make a difference. Time will tell.

Vrabel and Belichick are off the market, so my vote goes to Sark or Ben Johnson.

I just assume Kellen cuz he knows Dak and Jerry and Stephen can push him around. Then they'll convince Zim to hang around "Cuz we value taht HC experience" bs they always say. The only consistent thing they do is make predictable decisions.


Anyone looking actually implement and run their own program - not coming here. Puppets interviewing would imagine. Oh and some token Rooney candidates - but Kellen is his second chance at Garrett imho.

Kellen would never take the job. He has better options, including just staying where he is.

McCarthy is supposed to "Know" QB's but he goes into the season with no RB while knowing Dak doesn't have the tools to win without one. Im glad he's gone...

You do realize the GM sets the roster not he HC, right? What you described is a total Jerry issue.

That tells me they were viewing him more as insurance rather than a solution going forward.

I don't blame McCarthy for leaving if other teams are willing to offer a better deal.

It is not tampering if another team's GM floats some potential contract terms to a friend who then floats those terms to a friend of the agent.

This probably happened as the rudderless Bears will happily overpay to have a prayer at a 12-5 season.

I question why JJ didn't let MM interview last week. Hopefully he does a better job on this coaching search. Not likely.
