So glad to hear that Tyler Smith stays at LG. Would be a mistake to bump him out to tackle where he would be less effective and then have ti fill the LG spot again. No the Cowboys need to make due with Tyron and whatever else we got then draft a LT next season if none of the current cast prove themselves.

LEAVE HIM AT GUARD ALL HIS CAREER!!! Find a LT better yet he may already be on this team already! Next year draft another swing tackle just in case

If we can only fix the center position, our OL looks to be better, barring injuries.

not really many players started inside got their NFL feet wet and moved out to LT..if he can play tackle you move him there a Guard is much easier to find then a LT or even RT,..lets see how he pays in real games then comment on his skillset..

Glad Fat Mac is impressed.
Effusive praise is Fat Mac's way.
He never met a player who wasn't fully invested, lazy or struggling.

Give me a Jimmy or Bellichick any day.

Pumping sunshine makes them all feel like they are doing a great job, and acts as some attempt at validation as to why the lack of success isn't on them.

That starts at the very top in Dallas, so I don't blame MM for following suit. Many of them learn quickly from Jerry.

That said, it's OTA. A positive vibe is the right move. BUT....when it comes to calling a terrible Jaylon Smith a "cornerstone" in mid season, it sends a very wrong message, and why Jerry needs to shut his mouth, but never will. Has to sell, sell, sell....and that's just not the right move for an NFL GM, the other 31 of which don't have radio shows.

The results speak for themselves. Lots of nice players, no edge, no dawg. Get beat by a more hungry and motivated team in the end.

Not quite through it yet but one thing stood out. He acknowledged that with the Cowboys it's been harder keeping the players on track in the offseason with all of the attention they get.

Is there any HC in the NFL not accentuating the positive right now? And that is expected of the DC HC more than any other in the league.

The days of Ditka or Mora going off are long gone.

I do think that Booger cringed quite a bit when Parcells did his pressers because he was from that old school that the player is never good enough. When Romo would have a good game, Parcells response "wait until they get enough tape on him". However, there was a lot to be said for keeping the players humble. That is gone now, they need happy players to keep their jobs.

Nice to see MM being somewhat generous with his praise of the players. They need to hear that from their HC. Ultimately, it pays off.
The devil needs to have to keep his restraining orders current...
