“With 14 seconds left, no timeouts, and the ball on the San Francisco 41, Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy called a quarterback draw.”

“After the game, Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy told reporters that they practice the quarterback draw in that situation every week, via Ed Werder of ESPN.”

Maybe they should have practiced giving the ball to the ref to set it.

I'm not convinced he was the one who called it. When it comes to stupid play whodunnits, it's like playing a game of Clue with this staff. Fire them both to be safe.

Yeah. It’s what they do. They flubbed the play. They chose that play and one end zone shot over two end zone shots.

There is no excuse. That was the worst possible playcall to end the game.

The only way he’s fired is if you get a clear upgrade. Sean Payton is really the only one I could see.

Get him out of here. Unacceptable for a seasoned coach in that situation to make such a pitiful decision.

Boneheaded call no matter who called it. If I'm McCarthy and I keep my job...I call the plays when Moore leaves. Just don't EVER call that draw again in a similar circumstance. Lol

or kellen moore called a draw. at that point you take three shots to the end zone.

Once again, the team was not ready coming out of the locker room. We didn't get the offense going until we were down 23-7 midway through the 3rd quarter. I turned to a buddy of mine after the last Niner TD and said : " Here we go, its Dak time! Niners will start playing defense designed to chew clock and this is when Dak really starts to pad his numbers and make the game look close.

This game wasn't as close as the final score. We were dominated.

I don't believe that.

I believe he is trying to protect either Dak or Moore.
I just saw him on tv, and he said it was the right call, and refs bungled getting the ball spotted in timely fashion.
I thought kellen called all the plays. and I didnt hear him say he called it.
