No lies detected.
Jones family tunes out around that time, and cry in November when it falls apart.

Quinn right now has a crap defense in Washington. Yes I give Quinn his due but he seems to be heavily reliant on talent.
IDK that Washington defense is pretty solid despite not having much talent. They've got a few legitimate players in Luvu, Wagner, Chinn, Armstrong, and now Lattimore, but for the most part that defense is full of JAGs and is still 14th in YPG allowed and 11th in PPG allowed. That offense is certainly the better unit, but DQ seems to be doing a nice job of getting the most out of a very ordinary defense that is probably less talented than the Cowboys defense, even minus Parsons.

Is all reliant on how well the offense is playing. Just like here. You face a last place schedule and control games offensively it benefits the defense. It’s what happened in ATL as well.

He would’ve already been fired from every other organization in the NFL, especially after the Green Bay.

Instead he works for the one owner that doesn’t care about winning, so he gets to suck at his job but still kept it.

So him “working for the worst management on Earth” benefits him. He would be unemployed right now anywhere else.
I'm no fan of Mike given how his team did against Green Bay, but come on...Jerry gave him practically nothing to work with in the off season. Pick any coach in history... I don't think your choice would matter all that much this season with the current team, the management, and the culture the owner engenders. Jerry is the main problem. McCarthy is just a symptom of that problem.

Who gets credit for the 12-5 seasons then?

You've said it before when bashing Dak (which I agree with). The scheduling was a big part of it because it let them feast on bottom feeders. The NFC East was a mess. The defensive play in those three seasons was a big part of it as well. But look at the lack of Line maintenance by the management. This team has discipline issues long before Mike came here and it's still a problem. That points to it not just being the HC. Who's the common denominator? Jerry. I'm not saying Mike should stay. He needs to go, but it's naive to think any coach can come in here and fix everything without dealing with the Jerry problem first.

I credit Quinn for the 12 win seasons. He took Mike's horrific defense turned it around instantly and molded it into a top 5 unit 3 years running.
I hear ya.
It's the weirdest thing actually ain't it man?
I mean, I never heard or read the exact specifics on how Quinn got the job after that disaster that McFraud brought with him in DC Mike Nolan.

And on the offensive side it's like as we look back in hindsight, just maybe Jerry's 2nd prodigal Garrett son Moore was a pretty good coordinator as well.

So while all the the McCarthy groupies here sing his 12-5 regular season praises I quickly point to an offensive/defensive coordinator led team that McFraud didnt even choose, with him just along for the ride as HC.

I wonder how bad he would have done if his coordinators had not been chosen for him.
Nolan sucked.
And his own playcalling seems to have regressed/failed.

Solari is the worst.
The list goes on.
The name is appropriate.
MCFRAUD.

I don't understand your stance. Why be mad at anyone in that position. You're misplacing your anger. There's only 1 person who deserves all the blame.

I had really high hopes when MM arrived.. after clapper I was ready for anything. We have now had time to evaluate the coaching and I think it is a 'meh' moment. I think MM has been good in some areas and poor in others. I don't think he should have been sacked but nor would I extend him.

The bits that really stick out are the persistent and ongoing penalties. Despite promised from Season 1 that it would be addressed.. we continue to give away costly stupid penalties.. particularly inexcusable ones like false starts, illegal formation etc etc. Just screams a sloppy culture. I also think he does not use the run game effectively. This year he doesn't have the cattle to run the ball but he did have a good RB room and wasted it.. instead preferring to rely on Dak. That leads to another reason why I wouldn't extend him.. he clearly evaluates Dak as a talent.. which makes MM an idiot or stupid. Either way, you don't want him as HC.

I would have promoted DQ.. clearly got the most out of defence for a long time and actually got a lot out of group that had few weapons and even less true investment in it.

If we ever want to see success again, we need to blow the place up and start fresh. New coaches, players, front office. The whole thing needs change.

I hope he does too. I think he’s afraid of possibly hurting his future chances of getting hired but if Brian Flores can get hired twice since what he did against Miami? I’d let her rip. They screwed McCarthy over. They made him a damn man walking and everyone knows it.
In regard to bold above....

Teams focused on winning fire a Head Coach after getting historically embarrassed in a home playoff game that they were favorites to win. They don't keep that coach around because they don't want to be paying him for a year that he is not coaching the team. Deep down we know that is the only reason Jerry kept Mr. Regular Season around.
Bingo.

And everyone in that locker room knows this. Hence why everyone feels checked out this season.
