He is 100% right. This is not newsflash, but this "football" team is run like a business FIRST. If you can win football games within the confines of the Jones Boys business plan, that is just gravy. And being 12 - 5 three straight years gave the Jones Boys the false sense that they felt they just need a break here or there. You do NOT win a Super Bowl by getting a break here or there in the postseason.

We get beat SOUNDLY....and EARLY during the postseason, because we are NOT close to a Super Bowl. This notion that just make the playoffs and "anything" can happen is NONSENSE. Not when you will likely need to win 4 games to raise the trophy.

We are not focused enough. We are not physical enough. We are not disciplined enough. And lastly we are not talented enough to win 4 straight postseason games. We got beat BADLY by a young coach and QB last year. They turned on the film and had no doubt that they would beat us. Listen to the 49ers coaching staff and they had no doubt the Packers would beat us. We are a joke and a fraud in REAL football circles.

And to have each offseason over the past 3 years get progressively worse is proof that winning a Super Bowl is NOT the priority!!!!
Very good post. Truth.

Most, no ALL other 31 owners would have fired him after that GB playoff embarrassment at home.

But good try.
go back and find an example where a coach has been fired after winning a division and going 12-5.
Hint: you won't.
No single team would have fired him.

Jimmy Johnson.
After winning 2 consecutive Super Bowls.
Guess who fired him?

But it's okay Mike, maybe somebody will hire ya after here.
Good luck in the future.

Marty Schottenheimer was fired for losing in the playoffs. I believe his Chargers team won a lot of games during the regular season.
Edit: He was fired after a 14-2 season.

Yes good find. But primarily because the GM and Marty hated each other and Marty was trying to hire both his sons to the staff which the GM said no.

Mike, you had a full staff ready to go for the last 3 seasons, and what difference did that make?
you've had the fortune of having a garbage schedule for the past 3 years. This year, it's not garbage, and it shows how your lack of discipline, leadership, and preparation effects of football team ask Aaron Rodgers.
You've never been able to win an important game, so pack your bags and hit the buffet trail.
This isn't excusing Jerry, but Mike is a total fraud.

From what DQ has done in Wash and what’s transpired here id say the coaching staff wasn’t so much the issue it’s the FO inability to fill holes. Like DT, LB.

Likes times infinity.
I said it from his day one hiring.
My past vitriol usually had sarcasm filters but you captured his performance here in its rawest form. And exactly as it was/is.

He's won 1 play off game as a head coach in his last 7 years of coaching.

So unless you're into regular season banners, which some here are, McFraud aint the answer.

Agreed. I will say this for Jerry last year trading for Cooks and Gilmore….they showed flashes on going for it….but once again the trenches. Completely ignored it.
Yep, again….the opposite of the build from the inside out theory.

Two things they don’t respect: DT and coaching, yet in playoff games they get out coached and gashed up the middle against the run….then turn around and say it’s about the ball not bouncing the right way.

I mean, they have at least tried to add DT (except of course by spending the money on proven ones), but whoever is making the call here has more than proven they are awful at scouting/selecting them. So it’s either spend the money or continue to lose.

They don’t want to see it that way. They are so great at life, how could they be wrong?

Throw in that Jerry thinks he did his part by using a first on the position, now he expects his ROI…as if busting a pick isn’t possible.
