What is he trying to say?
It can be interpreted in a number of ways, to include taking shots at QB1, and the GM for not providing the tools required to succeed. I think it was his intent to remain ambiguous, to give him an out if ol Jerrah takes offense.

Or he could just be saying that the run game sucks and he needs to do a better job at getting it going.

Take your pick.

This is definitely not anything like a real WC Bill Walsh offense where he coached Joe Montana. This is a dumbed down Jason Garrett / Kellen Moore offense (visa-vie coach Jones) suited to Dak's limited mobility and telegraphed passes-- which he has to do because we have no running game.

I'm so far behind.
Ya see I thought the whole offense was based on keeping terminology and 70 percent of all the previous playbook under the Kellen years so as to keep Dak comfortable.
So then I thought last year was a 70 percent Moore with 30 percent McCarthy WCO influence.

So where exactly are we this year?
We aint running the ball and resting the defense.
And the offense doesn't look to be a WCO or Kellen Moore offense.

So what is it?

Does McFraud even know?
Just think more of the same quarterback starting next year with a 5th different playcaller for 4 more years.
Fun times to be a fan I tell ya.
LOL

Go Cowboys!

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy on Dak Prescott: "No. 1, this system's built on making the quarterback successful. That's the way I learned it 30-plus years ago. So everything we do is built into that. Obviously the starting point of making a quarterback successful is running the football. So we can start right there.

"We need to get more production out of the run game, increase the action pass opportunities. And then from that, take it to the next step and that's the pass protection, and obviously the pass perimeter.

"It's about making him successful. If anything, I would guard against asking him to feel like he has to do more than he's already doing. He just needs to really focus in on playing quarterback. He's a great worker. He's super diligent. And we'll get to where we need to get to."
In junk time against the prevent.

"That's the way I learned it 30-plus years ago."

Nothing like running a offense from 1994.

Exactly I thought that myself . Outdated schematics . Second thing is he’s saying the run game is insufficient and so is pass protection .

Thus the QB play is substandard .

I’m sorry but the brains of the operation , GM coaches scouts went with this roster of running backs and yes two rookies start on the line and Chaz Greene is at RT , the QB has to somehow be the highest paid NFL player and quit the turnovers .

I think Mike just says stuff he thinks sounds good.

If the system was built to make the QB successful, then why the unimaginative play calls and trash route concepts with multiple WR's in the same area?

What Philadelphia initially did with Jalen Hurts and what Baltimore has done with Lamar is building a system to make their QB successful.

Dallas has been running a Norv Turner offense for the past several years and any success they have experienced was from Romo audibling to something else or Dak playing hero ball.

Dak is not perfect by any means, but he has yet to have any coaching help at all.
