What system would be my next question to him. And, is there a system that doesn’t aim to make the QB better?
No, but there's some that don't rely on the QB as much as others do. McCarthy's is QB-heavy, which you can't be if you can't pass protect, don't have depth at receiver and can't even make the run game seem like a threat.

I guess he can't say, "The Joneses ruined the system by giving me rookie linemen that I have to start, no depth at receiver, broken or never-was running backs ..."
100%.

You can throw in skipping free agency so he can carry over cap space to pay off some of next year's dead money.

Like every cowboys coach STATE THE OBVIOUS and not do it, we need to run, duh do it
they need to run but they signed elliot over henry lol.
Rico is better, but elliot still is the primary RB.

They wont give deuce a whole game or malik or luepke, so evidently mike doesnt know how to have a good run game, just do it with
whoever jerry the real HC says to play.

If they started luepke or deuce in atlanta, what could it possibly hurt ??

If I was the HC, I'd probably run out of things to say too if I had to try and make a team out of the shambles that Jerry handed me.
We have people here piling on the HC, when Jerry Jones is the one who turned this team into the mess it's in. If we have no running game it's because that's what Jerry handed his HC and expected him to turn it into a winner. Our GM turned his nose up at Derrick Henry, and handed his HC Zeke Elliott, Deuce Vaughn, Dowdle and Luepke, along with an OL that's not up to the job of opening the holes needed for a very untalented RB stable.
So before we continue the Hate Mike McCarthy show, MM did go 12-5 the last 3 years in a row, and this year our beloved GM gave MM a total mess for a team, expecting him to make a winner out of it. I'm just suggesting we put the real blame where it belongs.....Jerry Jones.

I liked Mike when he got here. I will not miss him next year.
So Jerry's next HC choice will team up with Jerry and produce us with a Super Bowl winner, right?
OK so it's the HC that's been holding us back all this time, not Jerry Jones? All we need is a new HC and we'll be Super Bowl bound.
Got it. It's OK Jerry, you're off the hook now.

Agreed, Mike has his faults but this mess lies at Jerry’s feet.

I'm not sure how to read this.........
* does he need more from the system to make Dak successful
* does he need more from Dak to make the system successful

now the coach and QB are going at each other. Diggs blew up at a reproter after a bad loss because he is paying attention to twitter rather than worry about football. QB criticizes the coach, the coach criticizing the QB

its falling apart. one more bad loss, one more blow out and this thing is going to explode publicly. players are starting to go rouge, do their own thing, abandon their assignments, while some just go through their assignments and it makes all of them look bad...

reminds me of Wade's last year...got worse by the game.

This is why I am keeping my eyes on the break after the T'givings game. If we lose 2-3 of the next 4 games, Jerry may pull the plug on MM.
** Sneaky way of tanking
** Send a message to everyone not named Dak and OLamb is playing for a job
** Early jump on new coaching hires
** Potential top 5 draft pick

The system may be designed to make the QB successful but the roster is certainly not designed that way. There is little talent at the skill positions and the OL is not doing a good job in pass protection. Seems to me the team is designed to make the QB and HC unsuccessful.

I agree with you ksk, but the QB also needs a team and Jerry hasn't provided that any more than he's provided the team with a winning QB.
Also correct. Jerry is a buffoon when it comes to NFL knowhow. It's actually pathetically hilarious when anyone claims that Jerry knows more about NFL football than anyone on here. There are more than a dozen that would do better as NFL GM than Jerry. And it's not that I'm claiming anyone on here could be an NFL GM, it's that Jerry is so bad. Why? Because he refuses to put the work in that is required to succeed as an NFL GM at a high level. There are better and worse GM's, but Jerry is by far the laziest.

Yup. And then there's the bad D, which requires the QB to score just about every drive.

Too bad Jerry wasn't smart enough to trade away some aging players who still have value. That's what speeds up rebuilds.
