Don't expect any decisions anytime soon.
This franchise is a circus cash cow not an actual football team.

You shouldn't have been fooled then. It was pretty obvious they were going to extend Prescott. And besides a new HC wouldn't be able to decide if they want to keep Prescott. Thats all on Prescott at that point. Any new HC would have been at Daks mercy with the fallback being a very weak QB class

He signed Dak, MM will have a new negotiated 2 year deal with a 3rd year GM option to beg for his job back, 5 more days until this happens.

thank you. Nobody seems to care about what happened there, but it was so sloppy. MM is not a good in-game coach.
 
It really doesn't matter. A coach isn't going to fix the stink.

McCarthy is a good, solid coach. If he is released, do you think Jones will be ahead of the curve and hire the next great coach? Of Course not. This team is never the first on something. It will be another retread that they are comfortable with.
 
McCarthy will be retained for the same reason Prescott was retained - fear of success with another franchise.
 
If they weren't prepared to extended McCarthy last year, then what has changed in the last year that suddenly makes him a keeper today?

This org is a clown show. If they like McCarthy then he should have been extended last year.
 
Mike is technically not under contract. I would take interviews with other teams and use it as leverage against Jerry.

If Jerry doesn’t want him back, that’s fine. If he does, it’ll only up the price

He technically can’t do that until the 14th. After the 9th we have a window of negotiation through the 14th where he would have to have permission from Jerry to interview.
 
We will not hear a thing from Jerral until the 14th, whether it is extending MM or releasing MM.

I think MM leaves unless he gets paid and we know how unlikely that is.
 
McCarthy is about the best we are going to get, with Jerry's rules about no power coaches to get in his spotlight.
