It’s hard to call Rush the hot hand when he has barely threw for over 100 yards last week. Eagles allow the 5th fewest yards passing and 10th rushing. We’ll see what happens.

Come on now. The Cowboys are in the midst of THREE 20+ point winning streak against the Eagles in which in EVERY game, the QB had AT LEAST 3 TDs.

Then on top of that, Dak is 7-3 vs the Eagles in his career.

I don't know where this "Dak is scared of the Eagles" narrative came from, but I am willing to bet, if it was up to Dak, and Dak alone, he would be playing.

That does not mean it would be a good call, but Dak is not holding himself out of any games due to "Dak don't want none of that smoke". I mean the guy tried to SLAM HIS BROKEN ANKLE BACK INTO PLACE to keep playing against he Giants. I think the guy wants to be out there no matter who his team is playing.

Having said that, I'm glad Dak isn't playing. And the ONLY reason that is, is due to the simple fact that he has not been able fully participate in practices yet.

On top of that, I hope Rush can put together a 3+ TD game for the Win just to keep the streak going and to make Eagles fans EVERYWHERE cry delicious tears. It would be HILARIOUS to tease Eagles fans that no matter who we throw out at QB, our QB is better than your QB.


Now I do HOPE Dak starts again before the Bye, because obviously he need to game reps after his pathetic Week 1 outing. But regardless of who the opponent is this week, he is just not ready yet.

I’ve argued with people here who dismiss Rush’s success. I think he’s been damn good and might be just what this team needs to win big. He knows this offense very well and has made plays when needed. Was hurt by 2 huge drops vs the Rams.

I’ve also said Dak will need to prove his worth when he returns - another dud like Week 1 and even I will be calling for Rush to step back in.

Dak has already proven that he can win with a run-first offense. He has NEVER had a defense like this, however. He went 13-3 as a rookie with a strong run game and solid defense. He’s a better passer now than he was in 2016.

If you knew ANYTHING about football (and maybe you really don’t), you’d know that a healthy Dak with THIS DEFENSE and THIS OFFENSIVE PHILOSOPHY could be very, very successful.

Maybe Week 1 was just a blip and he really has gotten better after 7 years, a major injury, and minor injuries raking up.

The Eagles defense will be by far the biggest challenge that Rush has faced in any game as a starter. Their defensive line will get after our OL, and I feel pretty sure their game plan will focus on the run, putting us in long second and third down situations, daring Rush to beat them with his arm.
