Twitter: McCarthy: We are preparing for Cooper Rush to start against the Eagles

Dang, I'm just upset that Jerry wasn't the one to break the news. What the heck is going on with this FO?

i would sit him til then. if you’ve played Rush through Rams, Bengals, philly. why not lions and bears? give dak extra time to get right.

TRUTH87---- just curious...is the 87 the year you were born?.....that would make you like 35?

Detroit. They have a terrible defense. A lot of opportunities for sky pointing.

mr Risen--yes and Dak loves to point at the sky......i just hope we put beatdown on Sheagles....somehow some-way

Next week at home Lions should be a good place to get back in the saddle rack up 300 plus three TD’s send Detroit back home spiraling into another nose dive .

Their record may not reflect it, but they have some pieces on that team.

Sure, we need to be able to run. Eagles know that and will do what they can to stop it. I guarantee you that they don't think Rush can beat them passing the ball. I think they will play the outside receivers and clog up the middle of the field. Rush may have some chances to make a big play on deep balls. Can Lamb and Gallup beat the one on one coverage consistently?
Yeah. All that may be true, but what I was eluding to was that the cowboys should mix it up.
Pass on first downs more. Screen pass. Maybe some "pick" plays. Draw plays...etc...
Don't over commit to running or passing.
Set up Turpin to return couple of punts.

...the hot hand meaning:

In the whole Microcosm of things.
Not broken down to particles.
It's a terrible state of affairs that you have to explain that. We said the same thing in 2016 and we didnt; have to break it down like this.

Sad I tell ya. People are NOT rooting for Cooper Rush.

Do the cowboys know what a pick play is?

In case we forgot.....Dak's injured thumb is on his throwing hand. Let's all pump the brakes. Cooper Rush has done commendable. He has certainly kept the ship afloat. Go Cooper Rush and let's hope the injured thumb is afforded more time to fully heal. Dak is our starting QB, and no need to toss him away. Unless Cooper Rush performs underwhelmingly, we're good. We do get to face Philly again, later in the season.....if we don't prevail Sunday night.

Dak will be back and we'll see what happens.

Maybe Week 1 was just a blip and he really has gotten better after 7 years, a major injury, and minor injuries raking up.

After all, I'm sure there's a long list of QBs that have gotten significantly better under those circumstances, right? I can't think of any off the top of my head. Can you?
Dak was literally an MVP candidate a year ago today.

Keep pretending Week 1 was the norm and that he’s always sucked. You have no choice now.

You’re in the cult.
:lmao2:

I'm hoping we'll win but I don't think our offense will be able to keep pace with the Eagles offense with Rush as QB. This will be a true test for our defense. But playing against a defense that also is good....I think it's too much for Rush. I hope I'm wrong but I think we'll lose this one. A HEALTHY Dak gives us a better chance to win.
The way Dak played against Tampa, I’d like to see him get some reps in before starting anyway.
