Last year everyone seemed to be onboard the ‘give Pollard more snaps’ train but it’s been quiet this year. I watch those Sounds From the Sidelines clips and I think Pollard is the offensive player who gets the most kudos from the defense for his speed displays. Loves me some Zeke, but I think this is good. Let’s see what Pollard can do. Zeke won’t be a Cowboy next year at that salary and Pollard is a free agent. Need to see what happens now giving him the workload.

Maybe so, but I fail to see what point I missed. If you're saying that because Zeke is out and Pollard is responsible for his portion of protecting Dak in the passing game, I'm simply saying that Chicago has 12 sacks total on the season (tied for 22nd in the league) while the Cowboys, as a team, have given up 11 (tied for 5th fewest in the league). Chicago is bad at sacking the QB, while Dallas is very good at protecting. I fail to see how they get 5 in this game just because Zeke's out. I totally agree that Pollard ain't Zeke when it comes to pass pro. But having said that, I say Chicago gets one or two sacks, but not 5.

The issue with losing Zeke is that you have a great pass protector and a guy who can get positive yards even if it's just 2-3. He pounds on the defense and then Pollard can come in gut them for a big gain. I don't know how effective Pollard will be with 20 carries and having pass blocking assignments since he'll be playing the majority of the game.

This is the biggest concern with Zeke out of the lineup. Dak better keep himself on a fast clock.

Someone put it up a few weeks ago. No it wasnt verified then so I am piggy backing. Some other guy in this thread said it was true, but it was in only 100 plays. Cant believe he has only pass blocked in 100 plays his entire career.

Well we better run and the defense once again has a bunch of T/O or we are losing to the Bears.

Part of the reason MM wants to run the ball is to run time off the clock and give our defense a breather.
