McCarthy: We're operating like winning teams do

As much as I enjoy blaming Jerry and his staff for the problems, the current roster is just not good enough, injuries or otherwise.

..just lost one of their best Defense players. Just cant replace those on whim.

But its nice to keep positive attitude. Life runs on different circles.

Like other winning teams...

Having an actual GM that needs to fight for his job and not treat it as a hobby.....X
Key FA pickups.....X
Accountability....X
"Football" culture....X
Filling position needs that have killed us for decades....X
Owners/GM that understands cap.....X

Handing out ridiculous contracts....check
Keeping "there own" players to long....check
Checked out couch...check

Etc

I'm with you, Mike, after all, the only thing that's missing is the winning part.

What he’s saying is basically right. They just aren’t winning.

I’m not sure how anyone can look at the game and not see the Bengals were a more talented team.

We fought hard. The football gods just aren’t with us. God doesn’t even like watching us anymore when the roof is open.

We are 2-6 at AT&T when Jethro opens it up. We were 5 1/2 point dogs at home against a 4-8 team. We are 2 1/2 point dogs at 3-10 Carolina who haven’t been favored in a game since 2022.

This isn’t a good team. We shouldn’t be winning. And I wouldn’t expect us to win another game.

I guess he could have phrased it better, but what is he supposed to say? "At this point the season is lost so there is no reason to even show up in Carolina next week. I've got a guaranteed contract so I went ahead and booked a 9am tee time for Sunday since its the best chance I have at winning anything."
i feel like rational thinking is frowned upon here. it's kinda wild honestly. i find myself taking a lot of deep breaths when perusing.
