What a weird thing to say.

Sometimes just saying "nothings" is a lot smarter than trying to actually answer the question.

Ex. "The team is focused on our next week's performance. We will watch the tape and make adjustments for the upcoming opponent."

"The Panthers are a quality NFL team and in this league you can take nothing for granted. We are focused on coming up with the best gameplan for our players against the Panthers."

There are hundreds of "nothings" MM and all of the members of the team can say. They are not beholden to the Dallas or national media to provide any real substance. At least if you can't win on the field, win at the microphone with your medial relations and management.

Not sure I understand the negativity for McCarthy, especially for his professional answer to a question asked.

I think it was the perfect answer. Many of you wanted the team to quit and tank weeks ago. Even if you want a new offense, Mike McCarthy has clearly done a very good job this year in a head coach’s primary task. He has created a team, a group of men who play hard for him and each other, never quitting. And I love how they stand up for each other, even in the most recent case with Oruwariye.
