Everyone wants to blame the coach. When he is being asked to produce a SB winner with literal trash at the QB position.
OutstandingMcCarthy's hard work this week is paying off. Here's some video from practice today:
If the average male lifespan is 72, that's 81% of your lifeJeez dude 59 isn’t THAT old
no Mike is trash, dak is smarter than Mike gives him credit for. dak is hurt that Mike has dumbed it down so far that a kid with mental issues could run this offense, just not dak. shrugsEveryone wants to blame the coach. He’s been eating the hot dog from both ends. Gonna get burnt out soon. It's good to see him putting in the work, nothing great happens without hard work
I wonder what he brought in for snacks
For someone in McCarthy's socio-economic class, the life expectancy is far greater than 72.If the average male lifespan is 72, that's 81% of your life
It's the families decision.I never understood this with older head coaches, you're at the tail end of your career, and kinda grim but you're also at the tail end of life. I know money is not an issue, why wouldn't you spend that time with family?
The problem for Mike is that the 9er's will evolve. He can watch tape, but when the opposition owns you, you play to their tune. TCO and aggressive early defense were designed to beat the 9er's (get a lead and run the clock). Shanahan's playing chess with him, know's our weaknesses and has the pieces to 'mate him.I’m not too happy with this team but I do appreciate the effort from McCarthy and the rest of the coaches. Especially if it’s true that they are not going home to their families. Hopefully with this overtime they can turn it around.
I completely agree. I appreciate the fact he’s working hard but I think Shanny and the 49ers are simply more talented than our coaches. So I don’t think we’ll catch them coaching wise but at least trying. I do hope we have another OC next season. The problem for Mike is that the 9er's will evolve. Fact is not everybody lives to be old. But I don't think you can take much from "average lifespan" a lot of factors go into it.If the average male lifespan is 72, that's 81% of your life
Yeah, I've seen some of them. They are usually as he's being flushed from the pocket or getting hit. There is footage all over the internet with Dak having guys to throw to and he’s just passing them up.
Does McCarthy need to play QB too?
Nice. That's also my alma mater. It depends a lot on how well you take care of yourself. I'm 47, but I still feel relatively young, even though I'm actually an old fart. So, part of it is me rationalizing. But really, I see a lot of people around Austin aging well. However, a lot of my classmates have aged really badly. So, I think it depends on environment, habits, lifestyle, etc.Exactly.................50s are the new 40s
I have a buddy from UT that I keep in touch with and he just had his first child, a baby girl........................he is 51.
Genetics, exercise, and diet have far more to do with health and long life than the current health care industry. For someone in McCarthy's socio-economic class, the life expectancy is far greater than 72.
Income inequality affects access to quality health care which in turn has a significant impact on life expectancy when stratified among different income classes.
I took a Sociology class at UT about this topic (income inequality, access to health care, and mortality rates).
In short, richer people see the doctor way more often, have way more preventative care which leads to early diagnosis of conditions like cancer, which leads to treatment starting earlier and recovery rates higher, thus extending their life span longer than a person who can only afford to see the doctor when they are actually sick.
So, while the aggregate life expectancy may be 71, for wealthier people it is actually much higher................see Jerry Jones turning 81 today as an example.
