McCarthy's hard work this week is paying off. Here's some video from practice today:

Everyone wants to blame the coach. When he is being asked to produce a SB winner with literal trash at the QB position.
no Mike is trash, dak is smarter than Mike gives him credit for. dak is hurt that Mike has dumbed it down so far that a kid with mental issues could run this offense, just not dak. shrugs

dak at the special Olympics running.

It's good to see him putting in the work, nothing great happens without hard work
I wonder what he brought in for snacks
He’s been eating the hot dog from both ends. Gonna get burnt out soon.

this is stupid lol.
ok they work 1 day for 20 hours, then they have 4 hours to eat relax and get some sleep, then they get up and go
to work again well rested and with sharp minds !!
The longer they do this the sharper their minds get and all problems are solved !! lol

Now to me this sounds like mike is fearing for his job. Jerry said something to him, that scared him. Plus it was embarrassing

But also to me this isnt rocket science where you need to work that long to figure things out that are really quite simple and could be figured out
by lunchtime if he had half a brain.

This new offense was supposed to eliminate the int's, but since dak had 3 this game, I dont think the waco is doing much good in that area.
So why not go back to the offense they used last season??
They already know it, and they did put up a lot of points using it.

according to 2 former nfl qb's , the waco is a flawed offense that isnt going to work, no matter who the qb is.

If the average male lifespan is 72, that's 81% of your life
For someone in McCarthy's socio-economic class, the life expectancy is far greater than 72.

Income inequality affects access to quality health care which in turn has a significant impact on life expectancy when stratified among different income classes.

I took a Sociology class at UT about this topic (income inequality, access to health care, and mortality rates).

In short, richer people see the doctor way more often, have way more preventative care which leads to early diagnosis of conditions like cancer, which leads to treatment starting earlier and recovery rates higher, thus extending their life span longer than a person who can only afford to see the doctor when they are actually sick.

So, while the aggregate life expectancy may be 71, for wealthier people it is actually much higher................see Jerry Jones turning 81 today as an example.;)

I’m not too happy with this team but I do appreciate the effort from McCarthy and the rest of the coaches. Especially if it’s true that they are not going home to their families. Hopefully with this overtime they can turn it around.

I'm hoping he has started drawing up a bunch of qb runs. that should fix the problem one way or the other.

Let's go Rush.

I never understood this with older head coaches, you're at the tail end of your career, and kinda grim but you're also at the tail end of life. I know money is not an issue, why wouldn't you spend that time with family?
It's the families decision.

The problem for Mike is that the 9er's will evolve. He can watch tape, but when the opposition owns you, you play to their tune. TCO and aggressive early defense were designed to beat the 9er's (get a lead and run the clock). Shanahan's playing chess with him, know's our weaknesses and has the pieces to 'mate him.

I completely agree. I appreciate the fact he’s working hard but I think Shanny and the 49ers are simply more talented than our coaches. So I don’t think we’ll catch them coaching wise but at least trying. I do hope we have another OC next season.

I thought the dumbing down of the offense, quick releases, and the Texas Coast offense were going to fix our woes. MM has to come up with another catchy slogan. I heard the Tex-Mex two step is the next rendition of our offense.
It affords our QB the time to take a 2 step slide to the right, two step slide to the left, and then fire the ball downfield.

I thought 20-hour days was the norm for an NFL coaching staff during the season.

"Hasn't left the facility since they got back. Working 20 hours a day. Committed to figuring out how the offense can work while only running quick game. Asked his coaches to not go home to their families."

Translation: They took this loss hard, so they locked themselves up at the STAR for 24 hour boozing...

There is footage all over the internet with Dak having guys to throw to and he’s just passing them up.

Does McCarthy need to play QB too?
Yeah, I've seen some of them. They are usually as he's being flushed from the pocket or getting hit.

Exactly.................50s are the new 40s

I have a buddy from UT that I keep in touch with and he just had his first child, a baby girl........................he is 51.
Nice. That's also my alma mater. It depends a lot on how well you take care of yourself. I'm 47, but I still feel relatively young, even though I'm actually an old fart. So, part of it is me rationalizing. But really, I see a lot of people around Austin aging well. However, a lot of my classmates have aged really badly. So, I think it depends on environment, habits, lifestyle, etc.

Genetics, exercise, and diet have far more to do with health and long life than the current health care industry.
