Boys hover around 9-10 on the D line. They could go 0 to 2 on D line in the draft. Think they only draft 1 defensive lineman. Davis is 28 and I think they think they could get something out of him when healthy.

I'm pretty glad to see Church gone as starting SS. He is a mediocre talent but makes up for it with leadership and durability. I'd like to see a more complete player at SS. Hopefully we can find him in the draft. The Dline guys were pretty much replaced already with the guys signed yesterday.

Wilcox is a loss on ST but that's it. I'd like to see either Carr or Claiborne resigned before the draft. Then we have no glaring needs and we can pick BPA on defense. One thing that's nice is we can already count Jaylon Smith as a draft pick and he'll fill a need at LB.

Are we really sweating these losses? Thornton is a very similar player to McClaim, hopefully he stays healthy next year. Most believe Irving will play inside more often plus Crawford can help. Dallas is going to draft DL help and we need a couple spots for rookies and Tapper.

Church is a nice player but the Jags overpaid. He's very replaceable and Dallas can't afford to pay that much for Church and keep its best players down the road.

Crawford is a JAG who will be replaced in the draft.

I don't get the panic

the only people that are panicking are uniformed weekend wanna be fans.....The people we let walk...were all replaceable.

It's the guys we are replacing them w/:omg:...Now that's another discusion.

Paea???

Paea is a player I think they wanted for a while, and got him on a very cheap deal. Carroll is a guy that they supposedly liked and honestly was CB1 with the iggles and he's not that level of player. I agree that Damontre Moore isn't likely anything more then a lottery ticket with some ability and a very cuttable contract. These signings are so that there is no yawning chasm on the depth chart prior to the draft. They have 4 CB on the roster currently and enough DL to cover the 8 they tend to take to game day. Now we get to the part of the off season the cowboys do value highly, the draft. This year's FA crop feels like it got over paid in some ways worse then normal. But in general FA is where good goes to get paid closer to great and great rarely ever makes it to the open market.
