When Zeke left the Cowboys he was no longer premier. He was "premier" when we drafted him, but if he's become "premier" again, well that remains to be seen.

If Zeke was the answer on 3rd down and short yardage, we would never have let him go. Granted, the O line has shared responsibility in those failures. I love Zeke. The Zeke I saw in NE lost at least 2 steps

He’s basically saying he’s still a premier short yardage back lol. Good for a yard or two. These guys are hard to find, great job McClay and Jones boys for finding that elusive short yardage back to be your starter.

Almost everything he said is true. Zeke knows the offense, and I'm sure he's a valuable asset in film study. He's an excellent short yardage back, which is the reason I wanted him back last season, and dont mind him on the roster this year. The issue is that he's no longer a good primary option. He's lost his speed and burst. Wear and tear has done a number on his body. He's a great situational player, but I'm afraid once Dowdle inevitably goes down, we'll be seeing alot of Zeke and Cook. Would've been great two or three years ago, but now? Bad job by the front office at addressing the position, and an even worse job of packaging and selling this group as viable.
