McCoy will be a better pro than Bradford or Clausen

Hard to say. He played in a passing league with playmakers all around him and threw into wide open windows most of the time.

He's a good athlete but that will only get him so far in the NFL.

I would be concerned about his struggles against some of the better teams like Oklahoma and Nebraska. When they showed some of the coaches tape he made some very poor plays in those games holding the ball, etc.

It will be interesting to see how he does. I thought Tim Couch would be another Peyton Manning so it's really a crapshoot with these QBs.

The Couch/Manning comparison really speaks to the "Which team he goes to" argument. Couch went to the Browns, who never really surrounded him with the offensive line & weapons to throw to that he needed to succeed. The Colts, on the other hand, put up a wall of blockers in front of Manning, & gave him Marvin Harrison, etc.

The results were predictable: Manning went on to a Hall-of-Fame career, and Couch started a handful of painful and unproductive years with the Browns.

I just wanted to go on record. I've been listening to the ESPN and NFLN guys go over each of these QBs and looked at the highlights, and the pro days, and Bradford and Clausen both have a noticeably slower release than McCoy. Some really smart team is going to take McCoy at the end of the first or the beginning of the second and be really happy they did.

I'm on record...dont think any of them will be that good. Tebow either.

In fact I'm on record as saying I believe 3-4-5 yrs from now, the best QB in this draft isnt going to be 1 of these 4 big names.

No he will not. he will be good if given the chance to prove it. but Clausen will be off the chain

Obviously you have never watched Mccoy play because if you had you would know that he is one of the most accurate passers in college football the past few years. He had a completion percentage of almost 80 as a junior and he only threw 7 interceptions while throwing 32 touchdown's. Oh I might also add that he beat Bradford the last two years.

I am a UT follower, and part of McCoy's accuracy is due that cluster**** that UT calls an offense. With Greg Davis's fascination with WR screens and short passing routes, it made Vince Young look like an accurate passer.

My opinion is that McCoy has a chance to be a decent QB with some work. I havent quite seen the arm strength that i want in a starting NFL QB. He also needs to bulk up, so he doesnt break in half once a DE has a free shot.
